Cable Update (GBPUSD)

We have a load of US data in just over 2 hours. Look at the schedule here on Forex Factory. My play is to be happy with the pips and wait... If I was going to do anything I would place a long on EUR/USD since it's got a clear bounce right off the 610 EMA. I would place my stop 15 pips below that 610 EMA (That's a Fib number for those of you that don't use them). Anyway good job everyone and see you in a few hours.

Notice how todays low has bounced of my S1 value.

I'm currently Long.

My Plan: if it retraces today's dip by 50%, then I shall take profit; or if it goes below my S1, then I shall go short.

Scalped a few minor pips on that Long.

I feel uncomfortable in total uncertainty.

I going to wait and see.

Environment is pro-USD for this whole week. Not even today's Tankan helped the Yen. Everything is pointing short on GBP.

NFP was also USD-friendly and you've seen what happened. I say that last 30min before the news will point the direction. Last NFP-like movement (big up and then big down) is indeed a possibility, isn't it?

Market is spasmodic now.

The market very slow now... waiting for USD CPI.. i think this USD upcoming news enough to shake the cable and the yen.. and i hope will break weekly support

Perhaps wait for 5 mins to get in on the news thats what i did with NFP last week

You were so spot on this morning when you entered short at 19640 - I was thinking should I enter short and then diddled aroung and did not do anything until very late and only made £100 - could have made so much more I have had not been thinking so hard

I have the indication that the reaction of the market will not be what everyone is expecting. There could be a lower drop, but I expect that the market will move up in the end, with many retracements inbetween. I'm long at the moment. Sounds crazy, but... we will see.

At the moment, i still consider the cable still in uptrend. I have 2 options;

1. if today or next week price break 1.9435 area means USD gonna be strong.
2. if today or tommorow price not break 1.9435 area means we will meet 2.0 in the near future.

Those who trade CPI later, becarefull. If the big boys still want the pound to go 2.0, they will buy at 1.9450-35 area.

The storm is expected to generate aurora or Northern Lights, as far south as the northern United States Thursday night. Astronauts aboard the international space station are not expected to be put at additional risk, Kunches said.
