Whats up with these 20+ point runs that keep reversing, keeps getting my hopes up then dashing them on large rocks.

My indicators are indicating a possibly turn upwards, someone is loading up LARGE blocks so suspects something good
.


Shoulda bailed for Break even a few times, atleast I'd have my sanity !!
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

There was a "NY Empire index" released at <st1:time hour="14" minute="50"><st1:time minute="50" hour="14">14:50</st1:time>.</st1:time>

"NY Empire index at 23.1 vs. prior 26.7, but better than forecast 17.7"

"NY Fed Empire sub indices are mixed; futur index at 42.6 after 34.9; new orders index at 25.1 after 22.4; employment index fell to 14.1 from 24.5; prices paid fell to 28.1 from 34.9; so some good forward looking indicators, but weakness in employment and prices paid are likley to outweigh and limit dollar gains from the better than expected report."

Market don't know what to do, because this news was scheduled for tomorrow.<o></o>

Got it - didn't know this but... your help was good - got to click on "view full calender" or Forex Calender at the top of any page and you can pick dates going back! (Not just the current stuff like on the main page)!

After the FOMC stating the importance of inflation earlier this week with the CPI data tomorrow could be why this pair is going sideways... The data should be key in getting this pair out of the chop mode. Good actually be a fun Friday for trading. I'm hoping for USD neg. report since we have up till now only US positive data this week (and NFP positive last Friday) and every report for the GBP has been positive but no more data from them till next week... A surprise with lower CPI and mabye some of the others a little under expectations should help for this to make a big move.

Somehow I feel the finger is being pointed to the remarks made here as the reason why you have lost today.

If you have read any of my personal remarks made up to this point, and of you have traded using the information I have given you, you are not being wise for sure.

I have noted on occasion, that I was only making mention of what I am seeing, but not a forecast of what is really going to happen.

I am sorry and apologize to you, and anyone else on this thread if they were persuaded by any remarks that I have made.

I have therefore decided to leave this thread.

I really have enjoyed my stay here folks, great trading, and a Merry Christmas to all.

Monarch I love youre comments and all so please stay here.. you are the only force that this part of the forum is alive.

I often just read and maybe get a clue where the market could be heading, but I don't consider trading over others influence.

Be youreself and have youre trading style!

Well, Monarch, I can't help but think that this is a crazy decision you are making. There are SO many people who have thanked you (and some, like me, who haven't actually posted a thank you, but certainly appreciate your viewpoint) and one person who has admitted that s/he does not have the confidence to accept responsibility for her/his trading decisions. This seems to be a perfect case of "one person ruining things for everybody else." Only the people who completely accept responsibility for their trading decisions will still be around a month from now anyway. I for one sincerely hope that you have a great Christmas holiday (enjoy that eggnog!) and then rethink your decision to leave this thread. In other words: I look forward to reading YOUR PERSONAL ANALYSES (which means they are not necessarily MY analyses) beginning again in January 2007! Happy Holidays!

Please stay Monarch, you are the only reason I come to this thread. You make the best predictions and make me learn so much. Nobody can blame you for their losses if you are wrong. They make their own trades, which means they lose because of their decisions. You give us alot of education and help us out alot. So please think about this and hopefully you will stay. Anyone who comes to the forum and thinks they can just do what soemone else talks about, should know better...

Each and every person has their own view and ideas... we all know we are repsonsible for our own trades... there is only one to blame if you lose, and that is yourself !!

Please tell me you're kidding... Here is a fact: You could give 100 people the same trade signals and 90 of them would loose money while 10 would make money even if the signals were 100% correct. Nobody can be right all the time and the fact that someone looses money based on something they have read is 100% their fault. This game is about making money and for that you happen we need loosers as well... Don't read anything into that comment that was made as it's obvious that trader is a pure newbie. Reading though this thread it looks like many have made money and some have lost money (That's the name of the game) so don't worry about it. You're input is helpful and I'd hate to see you just quit from something someone said (That was based on a mistake that was their fault not yours)... Don't take ownership in others mistakes... Just keep bringing in the pips!

have been enjoying this thread since the beginning and even though i have not lent much to the discusion, have found the info here to be very mind expanding and always helpful in our attempts to see the entire market place. monarch, your input in this thread always opens one's eye to other possibilities. you have a wonderful gift and have been more than generous to share this ability with the rest of us to do with as we choose. there will always be a few who use your info greedily and not informatively. we can only hope they will survive this business long enough to gain the necessary intell to be traders. hopefully you can rest and rethink your previous decision and your pearls of wisdom will continue

I just won't to say that I learned allot form you. Your posts where enlightened. After spending in this thread couple of days I realized that it really changed my way of thinking about the forex. For that I thank you!

Being a newbie, 80% of the time you posted your view, I wasn't able to go along with you, so I was out of the market.

The other 20% taught me 80% of what I know about Forex now.

I have an ocean to cross here, man... You will make it tough for those newbies like me if you abondon ship now...

Concerning the "lost-money-because-of-you-bastards" newbie, oh come on!!! First thing you learn about forex in any cheap "get millionare in two hours" kind of book tells you: trade what you see, stay with you strategy, in doubt stay out... Jees!!!

Okay folks, I get the drift (This weekend it will be a snow drift).

If it makes everyone feel better - I lost a few pips so far this week, and boy it hurts me also.

I took a Long position this morning - and I am still in it right now. I felt like pulling the plug on it about lets say 500 times already.

I appreciate the kind words from everybody, and it is not in my character to hurt or mislead anyone. I want everyone here to succeed, and if you trade long while I am short, that is okay. I do that to myself alot of times.

I took a short yesterday, while I had a long.

I know what if feels like to lose, last week alone I lost going against the trend, so therefore I am doing everything I can to learn, and that is why I come to this thread, to learn from all of you here.
