Also, all the commentaries in the newswires are "rate hikes off the agenda" with the 1.8% CPI....

Early talks of rate cut early 2008 pops.

Sterling has not bottomed yet, minimally one more dip under 1.9800 before a bigger retrace. Though I'm still hoping for 1.9750 or best case 1.9680.

If this next down move for Sterling breaks past the 1.9670 support and closes below in a 4hr chart, we can pretty much forget about 2.0000 anymore.

LOL... I traded the days here when 1.99 prompted hot discussions, labelled as a "dream", "not in this lifetime". My first blowup was when cable reached 1.9915. By that time I believed in picking tops ... I did it all the way from 9750.... LOLLLLL

Now Cable at 1.99 is a cheap bastard.

10 minutes ago I got my final interview notice for my US immigration so I thought I would sell my gbp and buy some greenbacks to buy beer with..well gin actually as the beer is frozen gassy gnat's urine over there. (Of course I won't say that)

Stuff me rigid the GBP aint worth owt (nothing) !

Nothing is impossible to the markets, and well I dont try to pick tops and bottoms, I just trade what the market tells me. I think currently there is much selling pressure even at 1.9990 area. People just realised cable has turned and they're looking to jump in, which means there will be a retracement soon.

I don't think it is safe to jump in any trades right now. I was expecting Europe to anticipate a rate cut in the morning and boost euro and swiss up. Since this is not happening, we'd better stay like the big money is right now. OUT.

Cable is with thin liquidity, thus putting those ±50 pips randomly here, while the rest of the market looks like needing a defibrilator.
