IMO if you decide to cut it ,be humble and fight another day with your bullet..
but if you decide to keep it please don't do it half way, cause the pain will torture you if in later time you cut it...

Its going to be a whipsaw day until the fed speaks. so be very carefull and scalp for only a few pips or better yet just stay out until the annoucment.

[DJ] Sterling rises to the day's highs after the Bank of England offers GBP4.4B in an emergency 2-day tender to ease short-term liquidity problems. Cable rises to 1.9944 from the day's low of 1.9883 while EUR/GBP is at 0.6943 from a high of 0.6970. This together with the UK government guaranteeing customer deposits with Northern Rock may help stabilize the pound further, says UK bank trader.

it seems analysts are not even sure that if the fed cuts rates tonight what direction will the USD take considering the situation we are in..what do you guys think will happen?

i think it was pretty technical, e move. The daily bars were resting on top of the 200MA, i was looking for some bottomming formations from that point on. Now how far do you think this will go eh...lol

I'm waiting for the CPI in 20 minutes. Don't know what to do yet.

My plan is to wait 15 to 30 min after the release while getting familiar with the statement and the commentaries before taking a position.

The chance of a 0.25% cut + confusing B.S. in the statement is high. In this case we might have some volatile 2-ways trading and I by no means will trade this case.

Better trades will be no cut (short carries) or 0.5% + consistent statement (long carries / short dollar)

I got the 'no rate cut' feeling too.
No good reason, just a 'feeling'.
Of course, my hunches are wrong about 99% of the time, so I'm actually going to stay out and go to bed tonight... ah, what a novel concept - sleep during nighttime!?!
