Lol gotpips.. unfortunately no one can do a thing when a large firm steps in and buys/sells massive amounts of currency. We all might short GU based on tech+news.. and then Soros comes and buys 10 billion pounds.. can't see that coming :

true indeed, cable ain't nothing to fuc'k with. just when you scream short it says fuck you im long and just when you scream long it says fuck you im short. the games cable play sometimes

Yesssssssssssss, that's what I was waiting for, I still have my longs running, although it went to 2.0233 but I kept them running, and I had a new trade @ 2.0240 area, so now I have 5 long trades open.

GU should fall.. I mean, funamentally - the strong pound is hurting exports - but then we have super weak $ with obvious rate cuts looming which is pushing this one up. GU might take a pounding when (and if) Feds don't cut the rates.. as everyone is expecting a cut.

One of the main keys for cable today was 2.0313, it reached 2.0312 and then bounced off this level, and on the otherside there was another key which was 2.0237 which bounced off as well, I'm now confused
It bounced off from both level

No wonder this pair moved opposite to the news.. the trade balance deficit was wide.. but was 'distorted due to errors in oil pricing' Oh great.. thanks for letting us know that crucial bit of information a bit too late

Edit - Excluding oil and erratics, the trade balance for UK was -6.6bn.. not -7.1bn. This is the first news report I've traded that has gone against me.. and now I finally know why. For a minute I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on

2,0276. GBP USD is in an uptrend which support is 2,0100 and resistance is 2,0315. The price is just bellow 2,0315 resistance. The volatility is low. Bollinger bands are flat. ForexTrend 1H, 4H is in a bullish configuration. The uptrend should continue to gather momentum. The price should find a resistance below 2,0315. If the resistance is broken then the target will be 2,0500. We won't take a position. The risk/reward ratio is too high to take a position..
