You will see this point was bounced before.

on 12/6, 12/7, 12/8, and now on the 12th.

Each time the First Candle bounced and rose above - closed below,
then the second Candle bounced and rose above 1.9700 but closed below.

Lets see where the 12:00 noon (Pacific Time) Candles takes us?

Cable may go near about its Friday's high of 1.9726

It was January 1979, and I just turned 15 years old.

Wow, such a long time ago.

I was a freshman in High School and the world was completely different. Man there was no Videos out then, No MTV, there was not even a Game console out that was worth a penny. I think back then, most people went to school barefoot (in the snow I add). I don't even remember indoor plumbing yet. Well maybe there was a toilet. I thought McDonalds was great, Serving over 1 million people. Now Starbucks serves 1 million people per hour, and they get more for one drink than we paid for a whole families meal.

Man that was the good ole days. Most of you peeps here were not even alive yet. Or, maybe you were still on bicycle with wheels attached. Yeah it was the day there was no gas at the gas station, because of Jimmy Carter, and we were scared straight from the Russians. So much to ponder.

But the reason for this long story is this..............

That in January 1979 the GBP/USD Finally surpassed the 1.9700 area and opened a new candle there.

WOW ----- Did you hear me folks -------America ------ you Awake!!!!

January 1979 was the last time a Candle opened above the 1.9700 mark on the 1 Month 30 Year Chart.

That just may be why we can build a fortress around this magical number.

GBP/USD on January 1st. 2007 - If the Monthly Candle Opens above 1.9700 I am going Long for 30 Years, with no turning back.

Could the number in 2007 mean anything?

Reversed= 7002; would that be 1.97702 or 1.7002?

I didn't get that comment, 1.9700 was hit in 1990,1991,1992. how is it that in 1979 it was the last time it hit?

well the daily chart did, in fact the daily went up to 1.9946 as a high back in sept 1992. So, what's i'm asking is how are you guys so sure this is the absolutly top for cable? and why drop to 9300 level? all the way down 400 pips? that's kinda far fitched no?

because of the "holy grail" elliot wave... and when it goes up to 2.0000 then everybody said that the day of NFP was wave B and C together.. and so EW is still alive...

I said on the Monthly Chart it has not "Opened" above 1.9700. It has went over on the daily and hourly, and the minute I am sure.

And I am not saying that 1.9700 is the Top! I am only revealing what the Market has shown us in 30 years. This is very important data here, if we pass over this mark, we could very well be on our way to Mars.

Please do not think we are making a "For Sure Factual Statement" here, it is only a possibility. A possiblility that we need to keep our eyes open.

In this market nothing is far fetched except the pips we lose trying to chase what we think should have happened.

Far Fetched is making money in a Demo account. and think your a trader.

Reality is being smart and watching every possible thread of information so you can enter at the precise time.

Next small drop will go down to 1.9675-1.9685 area.

Then excpecting a gradual climb up from 1.9675/85.

Hey, we're the same age!

Lots of nostalgia in that post. I never got into pet rocks or mood rings...though I think everybody else on the planet was. Disco sucked. I wore bell-bottoms until the mid-eighties.

Come to think of it...I'm having alot more fun now...
