I guess that my snippers will shoot me instead of shooting cable
I now have 4 longs and I started to get mad
I calculated the number of pips that I was suppose to gain today if I kept my long trades before the report, I found that it was more than 500 pips, but they were not mine, since I closed them early
However, I do agree with you going long, just not so close to the NFP. I’ll probably go long also later in the day (or Monday).
Concerning you being mad about all the pips you lost from closing your longs just before the news, I completely agreed with that move. Look at it from a different perspective: imagine if the report originated a sell. I personally have lost tons of pips from not closing good positions just before major news.
You last move was quite emotional (I completely reviewed myself in it): you get so mad from the pips you “almost got” that you start shooting yourself.
Don’t worry, you’ll shoot it next time for sure!

U all may get another crack at selling expensive pounders again but then again maybe not, short and holding unless somthing changes

You know better than to move either against a trend or, in this case, a news retracement.

) no way someone should have position opened before major news anouncements unless 2 cases: 1 you have insider info and even then you dont always know which way market will take the news 2 if you trade veeeeeeeeery long term and this spike will just be a blip on a chart

hmmm should i go into arbitrage?? oandas price on cable doesnt move from 60/62 and in meta trader pound went down to 45/49 so 10 pips difference at least mmmmm
edit: damn it by the time i typed it oandas prices jumped down
