TIMINGS/LEVELS/BEHAVIOUR of PRICE
TLBoP

Whole numbers /Big Round Numbers BRNs quarters and Halves.
All play a very important role in trading...And that has been discussed here for years !
TimeTells charts for one !

Simply put Large traders,,,,think Institutional these are levels they like to operate from from simplicity
of accounting to Option prices..certain levels always are more desirable. OK enough about that...

From a blank slate a naked chart to adding certain tools to give Context and Clarity to the charts.....

Here's the End game....developing High probability Repeatable Scalable Setups that present themselves
with a high frequency. All those circles are setups at least 4 Longs and 1 short....

Good question.
Living in Aus I do trade (well I examine the PA situation) in the early Asia session, looking from 2:30 chart time to 5:30 chart time before I have my lunch (12.30pm)

The MM likes to make a new high for the day (or low) during those times which then becomes the target (I guess) for any POST-London breakout
(the old actual London breakout is quite dormant these days imo and appears a time for just aggregating both buys & sells for the later shakeout or runner).
It is not a perfect science lol and requires taking on risk these days with the global situation (so PA & not so much TA and NOT so much fundamentals lol it seems)
Who knows. Trading in one direction is gambling in my eyes and always has been, though we like to call it trading hahaa.

I do my best and am not making millions of course though I always have my eye on the trader attractor target lines each day
(there is a minimum of one both above & below price at the same time)

The yen is tricky for a discretionary trader like me these days from the threat/implication of intervention(s).
(have we seen one yet, prob only the massive spike on the 6th May where the MoF-BoJ say they injected 32 billion around 160.750 at a London Open lol to prop up the yen which has then been partly absorbed by counterparties).

Looks like another aggregation at present currently to me before the next big one but when & at what level who knows
(Japan say they are co-ordinating all this with the USA ??? so even who is pulling the strings now is clouded at present).

And to your final question, yes, I also look at the EURUSD for trades during the post Asia timing. A pair (major) which is the most liquid of them all and has less suspect intraday spikes, but more aggregations to me especially during Asia but once it gets going it seems directional.

Trade safe however we do that & then trade well as best we can


(edit: ps, there is an argument for position size changes but I trade the same size each time and each trade still)

Hi Pete,

Unfortunately I can't recommend a time-frame as it is a classification of price by period. That means you are analyzing to get some specific information about price - and one time-frame and another can provide you different information that you need to make a decision.

What I can recommend is knowing the OHLC or Candle or Bar you are trading. In other words you must know who the trader you are. On my screen you won't find a time-frame below H1 and my trades last roughly a minimum of a day (when I trade the Day candle) and max of 5 days (when I trade the Week candle). It is normal for me to have 1 or 2 trades a week though sometimes I can have more. For the duration of my trades (1 to 5 days) on default I mostly have the H4 chart on my screen - after having gathered all the different info from other time-frames.

The horizontal lines on your charts are very close to what I also use (a custom indicator that I developed for quick info processing - though I don't really need the indicator and a clean chart is good enough). I guess it could be something we picked up possibly from the same source (right here).

When I was just a teenager that caught the trading bug...

The Pez was a Legend to me ! Making $250k in minutes back in 81...wow.
I eventually ended up giving all my hard earned money to him ! Lessons learned !

The Wikipedia is an excellent read for sure.
I will post this article it's the one I put in my YouTube post.. from 1981.

But in the article it shows him or gives an example of him on the phone buying and selling making a quarter million and less than 10 minutes..

An old friend of mine who had an automotive business he had his secretary outfitted with a terminal straight from the VSE... I was only 20 years old at the time... But her soul job at the automotive business in his office was to monitor The Pezim stocks..

And they would watch the sales volume of the stocks from the Pez... And when the price was moving and the volume was pumping they would call the broker and jump in...b that was day trading lol....

Old frank who became a friend he was older than my father at the time.. as I had the trading bug like him.. anyways he is long since passed away... A wealth of knowledge gone he never got online to these types of forums.

Can you define your setup ? All of these revolve around VWAP and Volume Profile.

TiMINGS>>> Many of these are at or near Hourly rotations. Session Opens...etc

LEVELS>>>VWAP, Volume Profile, Initial Balance, Round numbers 00-25-50-75-00 This chart the edges of value
all align with either 4550 or 4500 and all of the other levels listed.

BEHAVIOUR of PRICE>>> Balance-Imbalance..and what are the characteristics/behaviour of each...

It really isnt that difficult...we just make it so....

If you know Timings Hourly/4hr/Session Opens
If you know Levels..As I said these Levels were set at Fridays close...what more do you want ?
the other levels....they never change ,,,,hint 00-25-50-75-00
If you know the behaviour of price....What does a balanced makt do? what does an Imbalanced mkt do ?
hint,,,,mkts range ,,,what 80% of the time...generally speaking. That means balance..Simpy define the Edge of Value
thru the markets data. Not ambiguous lines... hint ,,,, Vol Profile,,,VWAP

Hopefully this helps those that have messaged me with questions regarding how do I know Blue to buy or sell?
First things first ,,define your setups...then define the market condition...balance vs imbalanced...with the appropriate tools.
Ranging or trending etc...Once you define your setups and know them...and understand the mkt context or current condition.
it limits your setups to the defined condition... Its not that hard once you put the appropriate work in to learn this.

The only variable is you.
