USDCAD is a problem atm. The CAD is the currency used to control OIL prices, geopolitics are keeping CAD bid, and the -85% inverse correlation between GU and UC resulted in GU getting a lift. Today is the first day of the week we see usdcad up 18p. The GU rangy is very frustrating atm, a catalyst for a run lower/higher could come from strong US data. That said, I still expect developments in geopolitics to override data.

Dating back to April 14, we have this on the DXY H1. Explains the rangy on GU and EU, but this also creates trade opportunities until a breakout happens. I see this for as long as the Talks and Ceasefire uncertainty lingers.

I closed my two short GBPCAD positions at the pivot for 100p each. Also closing my 2nd CHFJPY long position for 140p, and CADJPY, USDJPY for 70p and 50p. I'm maintaining my GU and EU short positions. I'm ok if they fail, between the Yen pairs and GBPCAD I secured my 500pip weekly target.

i watch how everyone trades in this group and hve a general idea what they normally look for when entering a trade that can be easily automated and sold to others as EAs and indicators so if a person stays in the forum long enough they can backtest the strategies to see which one is profitable

There are a lot of assumptions there, Mate. Profitability? Automated? Selling? If the first 2 were true, then that's where the money is to be made rather than selling EAs and indicators. Then again, "There's a sucker born every minute".

Trump says extending ceasefire, ordered military to continue Iran blockade
The US president has issued a new statement on Truth Social:

“Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our Attack on the Country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal.

“I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.”
