There are some signs for cable to go up, and I found my broker placed short trades for cable, AUD/USD, USD/CHF, GBP/JPY and placed long for EUR/GBP, but I'll wait and see, I have a plan and I wish I could implement it.
Cesar, I forgot to place a "told you so post" today, yesterday I said that if cable reach 2.0029 this will cancel any short trade and that it will go up, but the stupid thing that I didn't enter any long trade today

... Living and learning...Living and learning 2: Yesterday I saw CNBC stating "curbs in effect" referring to dow jones... Thought it was some term of the streets, but no... It's a rule in the stock market really...

the way i see cable trading in the coming hours is:
1 - its gonna punch through 2.02 level up to probably 2.0220 area
2- then retrace back to the round number or maybe slightly below ( 90s area)
3- sideways through asian session but with slow drift upwards
4- when europe opens up it will initially rally ( dont have a target but 2.0270 is a nice fibo level to aim for) and then we'll have to see

Just banked the afternoon trades... I'm up 20% on the week, would be more wasn't the tumble on Monday...

I'm getting back heavy to the market only after a due retracement + bounce off some level...
Tiny trades still on the table to catch the crumbs ....

BTW i don't think i ever introduced myself properly
Im from UK, just graduated from uni , been trading live since april 2005, been making some money since october 2006.
I'm aiming for a modest gain from most peoples point of view of 20% per year,and my first year will be ending in october 2007, october because thats when i started using the strategy im using at the moment. So far this year i think i have made about 24%. I say i think because im waiting for the august to end to see my account summary, but august has been one of the best months for me.
I've been reading this thread for a while now and have learned alot from people participating in the discussion and i will stay tuned whenever i can

This is the way I like to trade, too. Placing those key figures as lines in the sand to make a decision... During the day, too. The second and most difficult part is actually trading this gut feeling....

I am from the UK too and interested to know if you use a broker or a spreadbetting account for your trading..I am looking to open a broker account but need to seek advice on tax implications..

I use broker, to be more precise - OANDA. Pretty simple to open account with them, I just filled the application form and e-mailed 2 photographs of 2 IDs.
I'm not sure about taxes but I dont think that I'm on anyone's radar for tax avoidance with the acount size that I've got
