The IRGC says the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is “firmly and dominantly” under its control and “will not be opened to the enemies of this nation by the ridiculous displays of the US President”. A short while ago, Trump claimed that the Iranian president had asked for a ceasefire, adding that he will will consider it “when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear”.

low 1.3258 area to keep dominant the

Hello @Georginson, Good observation, However i am much more focused on 50-70 pips moves ,because of geopolitical tension , recently each time i was in deep profit this random speeches ruined it. so i dont hold for long such as for 100+ pips. anytime the trend can change due to tension between USA and Iran, even a perfect trade setup might not hold.
The "TACO" Trade
Institutional traders have actually given a name to this behavior: the T.A.C.O. Trade ("Trump Always Chickens Out").

  1. The pattern is that he threatens extreme military action (like "obliterating" oil wells), the market panics, and then he suddenly pivots to "a great deal is coming."
  2. This creates a "sawtooth" chart pattern that is a nightmare for long-term investors but a goldmine for day traders who know how to sell the "fake" rallies.

sure. Let us wait and see whats next , after all i have figured they will have to be dovish to weakens the dollar , if its otherwise any war statement the bearish trend will continue.

Very well said mate... I also usually look for between 20 - 60 pips target these days. It is also important to know the medium term structure for better Intra day positioning.

Wow, an easy 90p selling GU and EU. Glad I traded the Trump address. Basically, the drop came on 3 points:

1. The US will up the ante over the next 2-3 weeks and
2. He'll be targeting Iran's electrical infrastructure (very hard, and simultaneously) if they do not start negotiating
3. The US has held back, but he is prepared to apply more military pressure

I believe Crude OIL will run, how far remains to be seen. I'm using the key levels on the H4 chart. In my opinion, long oil is a safe trade.
