I'm with you mate,I just came from Greece 1 week ago, and they had fires at that time also and before that, but people count was 5 or 6 and its went up tenfold in just a week. Even though the fires weren't as bad as they are now the sky still looked red in the daytime in Athens, it was a weird sensation. I saw some places in the mountains where everything got burnt, it just makes you sad that such beauty was lost. Such a pity.

Looks like Trichet put everyone on the sidelines (with help of the UK Holiday) until his speech......should be an interesting morning between 9am -11am est.

Now I have started to wonder if this sideways will linger on until tomorrow before showing any decent movement in any direction, now I'm tired of scalps too, reduced my shorts to nearly nil, nearly balanced in both directions.

Hope I can take serious positions soon...

ranging Mondays ....chinese companies reported earnings, thats why the jumps in china stocks, are they ready to decline,...i hope not, i will protect my self with bearshit protectors....still thing the overall sentiment is strongly bulish, (till olimpic games next year )....sorry this is cable,..

Not that unusual, actually. Don't like to short this pair, but whata hell? When scent of consolidation is in the air, better sell cable on rallies than waiting and trying to pick bottoms....

Upcoming news could change it all. But so far, odds are for Trichet on the sidelines, dow negative on report subprime problem is bigger worry than terrorism and existing homes, this one I'm not calling.
