I can't see 229 here... GJ is within a nice channel in the 1hr. Channels in lower timeframes indicate strenght in the short term. This channel is going to crack sometime and then some consolidation may come into play. UJ is not used to push some 300 pips up without negotiating a little.

Those who missed the GJ train from 229, better off catch up on next week only. (I could be wroooong and GJ push to 240 tomorrow, LOL)

Everyone is hyped about the prime rate.

With this move up happenning so early I'm wondering when the big news comes out, the movement might have already been considered and it becomes a no trade. I'm not sold on the fact we are lowering interest rates just yet. But if Euro raises and NFP is bad and $ doesn't raise or even lowers none of this sound good for the $. Over all movement would be long.

hope fully retraces below $2 so can set buys at $2 and catch a health run up. probably sounds crazy huh.

Question I feel as if the $ will weaken over time so at what point will the Dow not follow the market(currency). Currently when the Dow rallies the $ weakens, is it alway like this or is it because of the current sub prime issues. Or is it just coincidence.

Can't figure if it is panic per se or if the company's name is in the hallways already....

couple of weeks ago the Dow and the gbp were rising together - yes. Last year the Dow was moving step by step inversely with oil and i was trading that - now they dont give a hoot if oil is 100 dollars.. So I think they pick partners for a while until everyone thinks thats how it works - then they change the mechanism so all you learned is useless - the DOW is obviously a woman

Fear stalks the streets and anything can happen until this rate thing is clear...Bernakepanke is not going to do what Jim Cramer tells him but GBP is wounded, so I would love to see 2.06 again soon but 2.02 ish is the best I am hoping for

i tested ur strategy today cesar, and i moved SL to BE, but TP is the same at carries...and dow is gona go bull, bull, bull,...it points towards 15.050.

I'm kind of going with the flow here...

Just picked this 232.10 few min ago when Mr. Jones regained 13,200. Has potential to become a nice trade, my concern is more profit taking in the end of the day or bulls taking over to flat....

Only at 3:59:59:999999999 pm EST we will figure out

I use that to protect a trade in the short term. In carries I'm using SL at B/E ASAP, then trailing 250, as I'm aiming the long run here.

Don't know if 250 is the golden number though. So I moved another trade's SL that would trigger at 232 lower and monitored it closely. Turned out to be the right move. At least for now.

I hear ya...I guess everyone is a little nervous after what has happen in the past month. I can't blame them.

yeap i got sl at 156.3 & 231.3...i dont know if i should took profit at 160.9 & 236, maybe ill just move the sl up, i need the interests, i got few buks in stocks, so i pay for interests...
