GU bulls lost it when they failed to hold onto 1.3150. To take back the H4, the bulls must take and stay above that price.

My "prediction" is:

If the shutdown ends, the dollar goes up due to demand for US assets.
If the shutdown continues, the dollar goes up because people still believe this stupid notion that it's a "safe haven"

There's a very good reason for that, until the BoJ get their monetory policy sorted, the dollar will take the Yen's place at the table. CHF by-and-large held onto it's haven status, in the past the flows would have been into the Yen,CHF and Gold.

Sounds like a motor plan, 100 000km, or 2 years, whichever comes first . I think we'll reach the bottom before Christmas . Some nice money you got there.

Reflection of the dollar's current "Heads I win, tails you lose" position in the world.
The demand for dollars from both risk-on and risk-off flows is a powerful, self-reinforcing cycle.

A short, 3-day shutdown might cause a minor blip and be quickly forgotten.
A prolonged shutdown of weeks or months would have more severe consequences that could eventually overwhelm the "safe haven" bid.

This long shut down, would directly harm GDP growth, consumer confidence, and delay economic data, making the Fed's job harder.

As for "Safe Haven" Status is Real, But Not Infinite - as no viable alternative:
The Euro has its own political integration issues, the Japanese Yen is hampered by perpetual low growth/debt, and the Chinese Yuan is not fully convertible and is subject to heavy state control.


While a short shutdown would likely play out exactly as predicted/
A severe or repeated crisis could be the catalyst that finally forces the world to start looking for a more stable foundation, ultimately challenging the dollar's dominance.

Looking at the daily and 4hr charts it appears GU will take out that bottom and go for 2944 as I earlier said. But I don't like it when EU has 63% selling (meaning it will either rise, or just not fall as it's doing now) and GU has 64% buyers (meaning it should fall as it's doing).

At some point they'll both act in tandem but which will win?

I'm also worried about USDCAD right now, 2p when GU fell more than 55p spells trouble. At some point USDCAD will find support, and if at that point the inverse correlation matrix is higher than -85 it will be more pain for the pound.

Its high time i place him on my IGNORE list but wish him the best in his trading career. Despite belittling myself by sending message to him on open forum, Pat Chiko insisted.... So, we got to keep it. His reasons, i cant understand...

Sooner his motive for given his contribution on FF will be revealed.

If PAT CHIKO intend turning commercial, he suppose to come up openly and not by using hide and seek method.

I can simply just say that this market, which is in an eternal flat and goes back and forth, has completely exhausted me.
Ill better wait for government reopen and first data releases... hoping I can catch some decent move at that time.
Now it's not a normal market, this is just a plate of sticky spaghetti that they forgot to put sauce on.
