Unreal.....Wall Street is behaving like a big, spoiled, bully boy, and Uncle Ben is giving him everything he wants.

The big boys will always win right??? They are always bailed out, doesn't
matter what trouble they put themselves in.

The heck with the homeowner...the brokerage company...the small banks....they messed up they have to pay. But when it comes to the big boys, OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!! they raise their pinkie and it's Uncle Ben to the rescue.

Well I guess it's the nature of the beast....better follow the rain makers !!!!

27 min to close the week and Cable is still trading inside the channel. For 8 hours Cable navigate outside the channel.

Huh, lowering the overnight discount rate is for ANY bank that borrows from the fed. This then lowers the rates that are passed on down the line. That is if rates continue to drop it will filter through. I don't see anything wrong with that. Maybe inflation but we already have that, they just tell us it is only 2-3% when it is much higher. But a cut is almost always better than a raise.

Hummm !!! I'm not so sure Suntrader. Everybody is saying that the billions the FED is pumping into the system is not getting to where its really needed. Makes me wonder about discounted rates.

What's the difference compared to Brazil???

- Huge interest rates, banks putting all-time high profits quarterly
- Huge taxes discounts for the huge companies
- Scalating corruption in the government's highest levels
- Huge monstrous benefits for the super-poor (ohh 2/3 of the voters, huh?)

GBPUSD is in down trend, the fall from 2.0652 extended to as low as 1.9652, further fall below 1.9621 previous low is still possible after consolidation, and a break below 1.9652 level will signal the resumption of the down trend. Near term resistance is at the down trend line from 2.0652 to 1.0462, and as long as the trend line resistance holds, down trend will continue. For long term analysis, GBPUSD is in correction to the long term up trend. Fall towards 1.9500 area to reach the next cycle bottom on weekly chart is expected to follow. Up trend will resume after correction and rise towards 2.1000 to reach the next cycle top on weekly chart is still possible.

it may all depend on the carry traid unwinde. it seems to be the wild card these days. things could very well go down further. What do you taders think?

Ok Guys here we go...my thoughts....


Long term fundamentals are against the dollar, Economy, Bush, interest rate, deficit....etc, it's all pounding against the dollar.

BUT !!!!!

Don't forget the sub-prime wild card. Making people reprice risk ALL OVER THE WORLD not just here. Everybody was, and still are, talking about how the sub-prime will kill the dollar. And so far we've seen quite the opposite.

Just analyze what happened at Bernanke's last speech. Surprisingly hawkish !!! The market spiked down (which is normal) then BOOM - market up (which is not normal). Now I don't know about you, but what went through my mind was..."huh...dude, if they are hawkish maybe things are not as bad as it seems !!!!!"

Now comes Uncle Ben talking loudly that only a disaster will make them cut rates, only to turn on around and start cutting inter-bank rates to a lower level and become as bearish as they could about the FED rates. I don't know what it signalizes to you guys, but to it me sounds like " Ok guys...no panic..all is good...but.....lets call FEMA"

For me...and maybe just for me....the DISASTER was just confirmed

The sub-prime ghost is FAR from busted. And it's haunting foreign banks a lot more than American banks. All the world was cashing in on the American real estate boom.

I could be wrong but I find it hard to believe that people will just forget about everything and jump big time on the back of the carries again. Or that the fear is gone and people will just go ahead and take huge risks again. Just look at the cable daily chart....when the FED announced the rate cut, cable spiked up...hit a brick wall (still inside pivot point) and started down again.

At the end of the day I think people still realize that if all hell breaks loose, like it or not, America will be the last to fall !!! China will go first...Europe second...then the countries in development...then Japan....then America.

Strictly ,orthodoxly, fundamentally speaking, the USA has the dough and the big guns. Try and beat it !!!!!

" As you know, the forex markets have been behaving quite erratically over the last several day, primarily due to a lack of general liquidity. This has resulted in spreads that are wider than usual, and volatile prices as times.

Please be aware that this might not only continue as the markets open in the far east Monday morning (Sunday evening EST), but might be even more extreme at that time. While OANDA is committed to offering the tightest spreads possible, given market conditions, weekend spreads may be tightened later than usual, and spreads might temporarily even have to be widened to more than what is typical on weekends."

Do they really need to widen the spreads due to lack of liquidity? No just greedy bastards being greedy. 20 pip spread on GJ friday afternoon and it might get WORSE? like what 50 pips? FUC U OANDA I'm going to dukascopy.
