americans never gave a rats ass about forex and many migrated to FX after the financial crisi in 2008 when the sec tried tossing out small retail traders by making the pattern daytrading rule where a guy had to have 25k in his account at all times to keep daytrading.
it was around this time that people moved over to futures from stocks cause they had little differnt rules and they lowered margins to 400 day margins for the ES futures contract and others to FX since it had even more leverage to lose an account LOL
well thats all changing now since sec will do away with the 25k minimum and lower it to 2000 dollars prolly to combat all the prop firms that play in a grey area here in america....mind you this is just for stock day trading on the exchanges

theres so many geniuses in here i feel stoopid mentioning this cause i know they already all know what im about to say

during humptys last shutdown that lasted a month the stock market went up so depending how long the shutdown is beginning after midnight price of american iindecies shud be goin up again
ill leave it to the room geniuses to look at what happened to the dollar during that trump shutdon from dec 22 2018 to jan 25th 2019
again i feel foolish pointing this out since everybody already knows it and thats why they boolish GU

Hey Zebi - your prior post is spot on. I am one of those you mention - started Forex in 2009 after I couldn't day trade stocks anymore. I still trade Forex but not daytrading - Swing trader (trades are 3-14 days) Like now I'm still long EU from 1.1735 waiting until 1.1850 or EOD October 3
the SEC gona make it easier and cheaper to daytrade stocks again
ill prolly do it myself around companies earning

im stayin up past my bedtime to witness the shutdown
quarterly price didnt close above the midpoint so didnt give a boolish signal on GU
but this quarters red candle bein a harami (inside candle) wasnt a sell either so seems with this indecision price will range for the next 3 months testing this candles hi and low with no clear breakout...bulls may get 3800 or even 4000 but ill short GU if gets that high by christmas
i say that because if the shutdown lasts for few weeks GU shud go up
i guess ill have to start tempering my bullishness and look for monthly sell signals to start goin short
