I'll try to give my opinion. Looking only at H1, we're inside a Mother Bar. I'd wait to see which side it exits to confirm a possible entry. However, the underlying trend is long and strong. So if it drops, I'd be careful because it could just be a retracement. At the moment, the H1 indicators are still saying sell, but in contrast to H4, so I'd wait to evaluate possible entries.

For anyone trading the original method intraday, I'm curious how you all are getting into positions? Are you entering on market as soon as the confirmation candle closes? Or are you placing a stop order above the high (or low) of the candle?

I'm running into some difficulty finding the right secret sauce to alert of me a setup inbound with Tradingview on several pairs. Right now I have an alert set to ping me when the HMA changes slope (color), which works alright, but sometimes I'm left in the dust as the candle takes off. Occasionally I'll get tagged in with a limit order placed back at the high of the body of the HA candle with a price pullback, but not always.

I've found some worthwhile success with this intraday (5min charts), but the mental strain is high trying to cycle through the pairs, would be great to work out an alert system that gives me a heads up.

try to catch up with the last methods that Robinhood has posted, particularly the RSO. there is even a dashboard with alerts, created by Straasha, that will make it even easier for you to select the trending pairs. it's really worth it.

You have your trading hours mentioned therefore trading the 4hr and Daily would be a good start.

You should have by now read and studied the two pdfs Best of Big E I and II in post #1 here.

@RobinHood has made trading simpler with his template #1.

Price just needed a big candle to help push it way to 3675 area and it just formed the candle, expect a push upward any moment from now.
I don't see any serious sells bulls took over already .

Hi sclay115, I read your thread and I can relate to your situation. I highly recommend reading the first 10-15 posts several times and then starting right at page 400. You'll learn a lot of interesting stuff. Try it and let me know what you think. Also take advantage of emmanuel7788's availability in this thread

Hey everyone, really appreciate the replies in relation to my other thread, I do want to keep this on track with the original method, but sincerely, I do truly appreciate the replies. One thing to mention however, is that I actually find higher timeframes quite a bit more difficult to trade, as setups take longer to formulate, and when they are finally engaged, I may be wrapped up with kid wrangling. It's something I'll need to work on, and I've been putting a tool together for it;

From when I asked above for what people are using to keep track of the system, here is what I worked up:

TV doesn't like it when you post an indicator with HA or alternative candles, so this looks a bit messier than usual, but I think you get the ideas. This is just an updated version of my last multiMA indicator, this time around, there is an option to do two new things:

 

  1. An alert for when the slope of a chosen MA changes (for me, when the HMA changes color)
  2. An alert for when the price is on the "right side" of the 5 +2 EMA

These things have to happen in a corollary fashion, i.e. if the HMA is changing from red to green, and the price is on the upside of the EMA, then it will fire an alert. This specific alert is the Entry Alert and works intrabar. So this means that you can have this on as many pairs as you want, and if the bar/slope change is forming up, and you have the alert set to fire "once per bar", it will send an alert and you can move to that chart to check the other setup conditions.

My theory is to apply this to longer timeframes, have the alerts pushed to my mobile, and try and trade from there if I cannot get to a machine or am not at home.

This doesn't take all of the thinking out of it, but I do think it can help some who don't want to stare at the screen all day and/or people who find themselves trying to "find" setups that aren't there.

Theoretically, you could combine this indicator with the stochastics, RSI, RHO, RSO, right in pinescript, and then only get verified alerts. Maybe I'll make a couple versions that work in that way. Not sure which path is entirely the best, but I'll experiment.

Mainly, I think if you can put as many tools in place, if you're going to be a systematic trader, that prevent you from trying to rationalize a setup, especially when new (me) it can do nothing but help. Take that for what it's worth, as I am not altogether profitable, but I've learned a lot about how I operate, and know that when I see an alert, even if I set it up, I'll often try to convince myself it's a good setup, even though it may not be.

Anyways, long winded, but enjoy the indicator, comments for anything you'd like to see are welcome. Also, I didn't code that puppy, I'm using Claude, full disclosure.

Hello everyone and especially you, RobinHood.

A huge thank you to you, RobinHood, for all the knowledge you have shared over the years.

I have been following this thread quietly for years and, although I have no prior trading experience, I have learned a great deal from everything shared here. Now that I have decided to start trading with real money, I finally created an account so I can take the next step and begin collaborating. Your latest system, which you call RSO, really caught my attention, so I coded it in Pine Script and built an RSO indicator with a dedicated dashboard.

Right now the dashboard is built only for one specific symbol, but my goal is to refine it so that I can create a dashboard capable of containing multiple symbols.

Here is how I interpreted it and implemented it:

Stochastics
Source: close
Fast Stochastic: K length 8, K smoothing 3, D smoothing 3
Slow Stochastic: K length 34, K smoothing 10, D smoothing 3
Both K and D are smoothed with EMA.

Current Timeframe (Fast + Slow)
Green arrow: D Fast and D Slow are rising and D Fast above 55, D Slow above 70
White arrow: D Fast above 55, D Slow above 70 but not both rising
Red arrow: D Fast and D Slow are falling and D Fast below 45, D Slow below 30
White down arrow: D Fast below 45, D Slow below 30 but not both falling
Dash: any other case (neutral zone or no clear slope)

Higher Timeframes (based on D Slow levels)
Green arrow: D Slow above 70 and rising
White arrow: D Slow above 70 but no upward slope
Red arrow: D Slow below 30 and falling
White down arrow: D Slow below 30 but no downward slope
Dash: any other case (neutral zone or no clear slope)

As you mentioned, or at least as I interpreted it, I focus on finding alignment across all these higher timeframes at those same D Slow levels (70 for bullish, 30 for bearish). When several timeframes show D Slow above 70 and rising, it signals strong, synchronized upward momentum, and when multiple higher timeframes are below 30 and falling, it confirms broad selling pressure. This multi-timeframe agreement filters out noise, helps avoid false signals, and gives more confidence that a move is sustained rather than a short-term spike, although such synchronization can be complicated because of the strict levels and the need for them to be rising; I have some questions about that later.

For the current timeframe, it is simply about identifying the present momentum exactly as described in the rules above, and I think the levels look good.

Questions for you, Robinhood:

 

  1. Does this logic correctly capture the rules of your RSO system?
  2. For the higher timeframes, I sometimes feel that using D Slow levels of 70 for buy and 30 for sell might be causing me to miss some signals. Do you have any suggestions (such as alternative thresholds like 60/40, syncing only certain timeframes, or a different approach) to capture more valid signals without adding too much noise?
  3. Finally, just to confirm: regarding your RoadMap concept, is it correct that it basically uses EMA 21 (high/close/low) and EMA 3 (close), and that the key is waiting for EMA 3 to separate from EMA 21 to read price action?

Of course, once I finish testing and implementing the script, I will share it with all of you. I also want to experiment with adding multiple MAs in Stochastics and automating the HTF-level logic I’ve mentioned.
