DOW -This is what I posted yesterday on TradeStation's forum:

Could the bleeding be ending shortly. Look at the daily Dow / NYSE volume. Starting from July 20th (excluding July 23rd) till last friday Aug 10th each day was +2 billion/per day, Aug 8-10 well above +2 billion.

Yesterday(Mon) and today(Tue) was 1.75 billion and 1.80 billion respectively. Oh and we are right around 50% retracement of up move from March lows. Any thoughts?

Somebody replied it is vacation time. But traders were on vacation on and off all during the summer and the main time volume really slows is end Aug/beg Sept.

If today the Dow doesn't drop another significant amount and again on less than 2 billion shares I would think a bottom will have been put in.

We'll see
