Trend Analysis

  1. The primary trend since late 2024 has been bullish, as we see a strong move from around 1.21 → 1.38.
  2. Currently, price has pulled back after rejecting resistance near 1.3787 and is consolidating around 1.35.
  3. Higher highs and higher lows are still intact, meaning the bullish structure is not yet broken.

Key Support & Resistance Levels

  1. Resistance:

    1. 1.3787 → Strong resistance (recent rejection zone).
    2. 1.4248 → Major long-term resistance, if bullish momentum continues.

  2. Support:

    1. 1.3441 – 1.3500 zone → Current support range (price hovering here).
    2. 1.2099 – 1.2037 zone → Major support base, previous demand area.

Market Structure

  1. The market formed a double rejection near 1.3787, indicating sellers are active there.

* The week just closed closes @/around last month's close, this after a big 30yr Uk gilts induced drop on Tuesday, and a strong recovery thereafter, - this aided by a soft U.s Nfp print yesterday.
* The week saw false downside b/o's of LWL, and a false 1st upside breach of LWH. It also saw false downside breaches of Wkly S2, before a strong upside recovery and false 1st upside breach of Wkly R1. The week closes above it's Wkly Pivot, and again above the Mthly Pivot, having spent some of the week below it.
* The week saw 3 of 5 days being > 30day adr. 42% of the 6mth amr has now been traveled, in this, the 1st week, just closed of the new month.

* The > 13wk awr (106%) Wkly candle closes as a bullish-bodied pinbar, and the t/f closes the week out in a general uptrend, with the prev sw hi zone = pot res that extends to 3595, (LMH,) as the next potential res on the t/f.
* Fri's > 30day adr (155%) Dly candle closes as a bullish engulfing, but with a long upper wick. The t/f closes rangy-bullish with no discernible trend.
* The 4Hr t/f's last candle close was a bearish engulfing after the downside p/back from the day's/week's/CMH @ 3554. The t/f closes the week out in a rangy-bullish condition, possibly @ the beginning of an as yet undetermined type of uptrend?
* The 1Hr t/f closes the week in a general uptrend. It's last candle close being a small range bullish-bodied inverted hammer near the p/back lo, after the move down from said 3554.

Overall then, the week closes with things looking more bullish than bearish.

At his April tariffs announcement, Trump said, “Jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country and you see it happening already.” Since April, manufacturers have cut 42,000 jobs and builders have downsized by 8,000.

Trump said in his inaugural address that the “liquid gold” of oil would make the nation wealthy as he pivoted the economy to fossil fuels. But the logging and mining sectors — which includes oil and natural gas — have shed 12,000 jobs since January.
