I wrote a thread another day on the members lounge, to ask if someone there could ship me gasoline. Why?

They pay 3 dolars per gallon and they are whinning.... i pay 7.1 dollars per gallon.

Our economy here is not doing very well, ... and "we" still buy mobile phones every month, "we" travel, we do everything normal, except in christmas, the gifts tend to be very low quality .

But guess what.... Medium Wage here per month is less than 1K, in US is more than 2K

So do the math...

Their problem are their stupid cars who suck gasoline like a vampire sucks blood.

Our cars in Europe make more than 300 Miles with just 10 Gallons

Their probably do 1/3 of that.

They like to pollute... thats it.

So if we are not dying with less income, they sure aren't dying too...

So don't pay no attention to... hah... the gas is rising...!
They have to double the price to get in our situation and even so... they earn more anyway.


In other words this means that, when they start to revolutionize their cars, there will be a BOOM of car sales in US.

Shoot, I tell ya, when I see another souped up Hummer getting about 10 miles to the gallon driving around city streets, having never seen a pothole, much less off-road, I just scream!

Aside from the US not really wanting us to drive economical cars, the biggest problem is lack of alternatives.
I drive a little Honda and get about 22 miles to a gallon, which is considered good. Over the last year, I've been driving it only when I have to, opting to walk whenever possible. There is no viable public transportation in my town whatsoever, and the town is not really set up for walking (although one finds a way, and learns to ignore the dumbfounded stares of drivers).
Aside from safety and comfort, the big problem I found with walking everywhere is that what I save on gas, I seem to spend on groceries, the price of which has risen with gas prices rising, and which I need a lot more of these days to keep from melting down into a bony oblivion

I'd buy a hybrid, but it's a little out of my price range (or what I'm willing to spend on a car), and I'm pretty sure maintenance costs would drive me into poverty pretty fast.

Still, UK is SO expensive! Sure, things are tough in the US these days, but I honestly don't know how you guys are making it, especially in London. Having to pay $6 for a regular coffee at Starbucks in London back in June sure put things in perspective for me and made me whine a little less about the prices here!

Uj 1hr, 4hr, daily are BIZARRE to say the least.

And CNBC's main headline is making me ROFL througout the day.

The content is always the same, but the headlines today were like

For the folks from Euro-Land who have never been to the USA you sure seem to know a lot about us. I once spent two weeks in Germany and Austria back in the late 80's. No not in the Army, as a tourist. Nice places but I wouldn't want to live there.

But I sure would not claim to know what Germans and Austrians do on a daily basis and whether they are happy with what they make or vacation time they get and how much they spend on toilet paper etc etc.

Also keep in mind this country land mass is bigger Europe excluding former eastern bloc countries. France would fit inside Texas for instance. Germany inside Alaska. Greater distanced traveled factor in some of the additional fueld consumption as well as having the freedom to just up and go when and where we want.

CEO is on CNBC, Larry Goldstone saids there are problems but no intention on filing Chapter 11.

The wave seems to be picking up steam...

I said last week that either I will kill the cable pair or I'll quit, so I made 1160 pips last week and today I made 1200 pips and I'm still fighting to completely kill it before it kills me, I placed a sell trade @ 1.9970, and I placed an entry order @ 1.9980 but still not executed, and I will place more new orders above 1.9980 if possible, I won't place any order below this figure

So it looks like bonds are going to push bulls into play for the dollar. Anyone see this train reversing anytime soon? I see some pretty aggressive moves on the daily chart, only problem is I'm not hearing anything that would cause a weakening of the dollar. So what do you guys accross the atlantic think. how is the pound doing over there. I can tell you here in the U.S. we are still spending money. We americans don't believe in a savings accounts. I do think that it might last for the month that is the Big D moving down the court and then the swinging back up will happen next month. I would like to see it favor the Pound only for personnal reason like my trades. Lets see where the Asain and English session leave us.
