GBPUSD UPDATE 19/8/2025

My daily chart is downtrend and my 4 hour chart is uptrend.

I went long today from 1.3497. Final Takeprofit at 1.3540.

I will be looking to Sell in the direction of daily trend from 1.3540/1.3552 being the next resistant zone against 4 hour trend upward movement.

If my Sell is successful, I will keep it substantially for long term movement.

Hi. Friend, how can the Dly chart be in a downtrend? By what means are you determining this? For me, the Dly chart if anything, is ranging, between 3139 and 3788, (current yrly hi.) Most recently overall it has been strongly bullish after a retest of the bottom of this range, @ 3140, and then the strong run-up to 3595, but yes has sold off a bit from that recent 3595 hi, (last wk's hi.) I'm not saying that price will not go south, none of us know what will happen. Thanks, I am just curious.

Yes Big friend. That's what I am seeing from my seat.

Basically, I use customized institutional indicator to determine Bull or Bear on each time frame.....

My perspective are sometimes different. Again, 1.3595 is a very strong resistant for me against the low that was established at the bottom.

I am still bearish until breakout of 1.3595 to the upside. And that was even the main reason why I tried to advise Georginson to incorporate a contrarian into his own analysis.

It's important to also state that it's always 50/50 chance between the daily trend and 4 hr trend. The fact that my own daily trend is down does not necessarily determine absolute direction. It's actually the MM that determines wherever and direction shift will be sighted on chart....

If that happens, then shift in Intraday direction may likely occur. That's a weak 30 min bullish Scenerio facing downward pressure.

Whale's forecast will come into play.

The main tide is downward....

This is to confirm that the Bull is officially dead from my seat. The remaining 1/3 running Buy trade is closed.

Any available pullback serves as an opportunity to add more to my running Sell from 1.3584.
