Oh i like it a lot.

But i was winning 30 pips and now im only with 12.

If i loose... i will go there and you buy me Leite de Côco. Never drink that...

There aren't no Côcos here despite being 40 degrees C a few days ago.

Hope Mills, NC near Fayetteville (next to Ft. Bragg and Pope AFB)....Just retired from the Air Force in 2006....

This past weekend I went down to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and rode is a boat around the harbor.

Average starting price for a home down there......$3 million - $10 million.

Maybe in a couple of years I could be trading from my house in the harbor..

That is true.....the rest of Florida is hurting...but it seems those houses are averaging about a 30% appreciation yearly.....

But that should turn by the time I'm ready.......

I live 1/2 hour north of Ft Liquordale (the other name), but 1300 miles away in mountains for the summer. Temps about 15-20 degrees cooler. Ahhh.

That is true...all I did was drink all weekend....

And that heat/humdity was a killer.

Yes temps cooler up here...will have to make a return trip to Florida in the winter...

Funny how this "expert" hasn't been seen in days. What happened to 2.11 and "going to heaven"???

I think it's great when people come on here and discuss their educated guesses on where a pair is going, but damn, this guy was so arrogant and nothing to back up his claims with.

from what i gather...correct me if i'm wrong...

ppl borrow lower yield currency like yen to purchase higher yield assets with high leverage to get better returns, but when uncertainty , together with the subprime turmoil increased risks and people cash out carry trades and thus causes higher demand for yen.

For USD, most people deal in USD and therefore when they cash out , usually converts back to USD thus causing higher demand for USD , hence USD appreciates.

exactly... Other forces drive carry trades, too. But this one is the pravailing in these times of risk-aversion.

News and fundementals, I feel only move the forex market short term, if you look at the weekly and monthly charts everything seems to be playing out in technical terms. And I feel we are in a correction that could last a couple of months, so I wouldnt be looking for the uptrend to continue cause it might be a while, but, keep your eyes open cause it could start tommorow. Dont take my word for it. Go and study the long term and tell me what you think.

Geopolitical instability, Chinese assessement on Yuan, Bank of Japan Interest Rate bias (and Japan fundamentals as well), anything that could inspire "panic" among the investors.
