I think in the long term, EU might go down but i think it will test the 850 mark before. Both 4hr and daily stochastics are trending up which is a good sign for Euro bulls and I would still look at 3850 as a suitable target.

Be also aware that the EUR & GBP are fundamentally stronger than the USD.

EURUSD

EURUSD is forming a sideways consolidation in a range between 1.3609 and 1.3851. Pullback towards the up trend line to reach the next cycle bottom on 4 hours chart is still possible in a couple of days. Key resistance is at 1.3851, a break above this level will signal the resumption of the up trend

EURO-DOLLAR
RESIS. / SUPPORT Thu/Fri, Aug 10th EUR-1.3690 Thursday
1.3760/ST/1.3660 S/t breach of the 1.3720 pivot pt expnds the
1.3855/MT/1.3610 the larger 1.3610-1.3855 cnsl range. As this
1.3950/LT/1.3480 area holds there is still scope for a final
---------------- push to new highs at the 1.3950 target. Any
breach of the 1.3610 base would argue start of larger downtrend.

Hi I'm kinda new to trading on the forex. I've heard a lot about double tops and bottoms, and how they have an impact on technical analysis. I was reviewing the charts of EUR/USD on the daily time frame and saw a double top occuring. Along with this factor, EUR/USD has also tested resistence twice and failed to break the 1.3850 area (Bearish), EUR/USD also fell steeply today which may signal a bearish moves. I was just wondering if anyone else has insight on this.

All of the Euro results today have not gone
in its favor, yet the Euro has not moved down
as one would have expected. Well, the day
is young. Volatility exists globally. We may be
in for surprises before this day ends. A good
time to sit on the fence.

10:05 EUR/USD: ECB News Digested, Spot Rates Little Altered London, August 10. For the second consecutive day the ECB has mounted a rescue operation by providing liquidity to the market. However, the net effect of the 3-day tender has been to withdraw EUR 33.791Bln from the market.
The ECB injected EUR 61.05Bln to calm markets with a weighted average rate of 4.08%. However, a total of 62 banks bid for the 110.035Bln, compared to 49 names seen yesterday.
EUR/USD trades on a even keel in the wake of the news with rates shy of the 1.3700 highs seen in early European actions.
Overnight and Asian central banks joined a global campaign by monetary authorities to inject extra cash into banking systems and dealers now look to the Fed for further signals. [email protected]

EURUSD

EURUSD is in sideways consolidation in a range between 1.3609 and 1.3851. The fall from 1.3839 extended to as low as 1.3643. The pair might be bottoming at 1.3643 on 4 hours chart and rise towards 1.3800 level is expected to follow in a couple of days.

Hi everybody

EU violated trend line at 1.3710 and now heading to test the trend befor resuming declining .

so , We have a good resistance to sell around 1.3730 with tight SL .

Target will be 1.3500 with allow for 1.3640

Interesting, the downside test will be at 1.3730. If it can't break it, how far down do you think it will go???

If price fail to break 3730 that will be consider as confirmation of long downward trend
