1.3800/ST/1.3725 Euro has recovered well in corrective consol
1.3855/MT/1.3610 to the uptrend. Structure of this move has
1.3950/LT/1.3480 yet to be determined. Failure at 1.3800 will

Hi everybody...long time since I last posted

Currently trading EUR/USD with {link removed, see rule #3}
This is my trend analysis as on Aug 02, 2007
Weekly Trend direction: Bearish
Weekly trend reversal level: 1.3860
Now, whilst above 1.2900 (1.2800 max), the euro remains in an uptrend which is heading back towards 1.3800, and possibly higher still, towards 1.4100.
Wave analysis suggests we still have another leg lower to go, which might take the Euro down to 1.3550/70 (200 SMA, previous S/R and 50% Fib).
Suggestion: Watch to sell at 1.3720, or to buy near 1.3550, only on clear
signs of reversal.
Key Resistance levels: 1.3720, 1.3800
Patience is required this week

These days I noticed the trend will be either go all the way up or all the way down. At least 200 pips different.

Support held beautifully whole last week (see pre analysed charts – http://fxartists.freehostia.com/ffcharts.html -daily EurUsd), while influenza held me glued to the bed. I hate having flue, but having flue and missing an easy trade is just horrible!


Lets hope next week will bring as much as previous, and trend line sitting now at 1.3665 will support push towards previous high.

Right now below us are two more weekly supports at 1.3740 and 1.3700/10.
Above previous high, new possible profit taking can occur at 1.3880.
EURUSD

EURUSD is testing the previous high resistance at 1.3851, further rise above this level to reach the next cycle top is still possible in a couple of days. Near term support is at 1.3750, break below this level will delay the resumption of the up trend

EURUSD

Last week saw a correct full correction move in the market to the 1.3608 level, even against sterling this market has achieved also a better base build position before the Friday push and close to the next major resistance. We now believe that the 1.3671 level will be able to sustain any downside correctional pricing going forward. The strong price building action at this level has supported the longer term and medium term bullish sentiment in the market. Whilst we still anticipate that downside risk is still in the market as Friday managed to control the upside the bears are really under pressure. Only if they can remove the 1.3671 level and push through the 1.3608 level would they be able to feel comfortable. The bulls on the other hand have been blocked correctly at the 1.3773 level but have left it as a bullish engulf of the final downside push. This strengthens their position far greater than that of the bears as the Euro bulls now need to see the 1.3773 level fall to a closing high and the next stop will be at 1.3872. If this was taken then we would expect to see fresh highs and the 1.40 handle being printed on the way.

The divergence closure has also been constructive to the bullish trend of the market and this has seen narrowing to that divergence too. This supports the bull in the longer term. Whilst the topside is at risk the downside can not be fully written out of the equation yet and this is why we still expect to see some downside pricing pressure coming forward during the course of the week and this should be able to assist the bulls to gain further good entry levels to the market at the 1.3671 level as the exit is at 1.3660 to await 1.3608 again. This is possible but unfortunately to the bears not that easy to achieve. The bulls however would be better served with an attempt to the 1.3872 and an upward pricing consolidation before the next Bull Run.

The house view remains that the bull trend is intact and has further to run and our ultimate target of 1.4668 is still very firmly in play. We expect some downside pressure but would be using this to enter the market on the longside rather than try shorts. The topside is now very vulnerable to another surging price action as early as Wednesday or Thursday which could remove the highs and accelerate the Euro. Technically the Euro is one of the strongest pairings against the USD. Bears should be cautious.

I tend to agree, but would set stops much lower (cf the ST trendline on the attached chart)

RESIS. / SUPPORT Mon/Tue, Aug 7th EUR-1.3785 Monday
1.3855/ST/1.3725 Attempt at the 1.3855 high appears to have
1.3910/MT/1.3610 failed. Thus be prepared for a loss of the
1.3950/LT/1.3480 1.3725 pivot pt to secure larger 1.3855-1.36
---------------- consol pattern. As this lower level holds,
the uptrend has potential to extnd to orignal 1.3950 b-4 reversl
EURUSD

EURUSD is testing the previous high resistance at 1.3851. Pullback towards the up trend line will more likely be seen in the next several days before breaking above 1.3851 previous high. Near term resistance is at 1.3839, a break above this level will signal the resumption of the up trend.

We are slowly consolidating ahead of Fed decision today. Supports are at 1.3780; 1.3760 and 1.3680. Small time frames are pointing to the south ,so before we can test resistances sitting now at 1.3805;1.3820; 1.3840/50 and 1.3885, we should test down side first IMHO.
Euro is trying 1.3780 support. We'll see what is going to happen...

EURUSD

EURUSD formed a short term cycle top at 1.3839. Further fall towards the up trend line to reach the next cycle bottom on 4 hours chart is still possible in a couple of days. Key resistance is at 1.3839, a break above this level will signal the resumption of the up trend.

After testing weekly supports, market turned to the upper side and now is trying to get to resistance set at 1.3785.

However it first needs to surmount 1.3775 which can prove to be a tuff cookie. Right now this move is supported by 1.3755 and we shouldn't see below it in order to test higher .Above 1.3785 road opens to 1.3835.

If we drop though 1.3755, test of 1.3735, 1.3700 and 1.3680/90 will become a reality.

Small time frames are bullish at the moment , so lets see if 1.3775 will giveaway.
The trend is heading north, according to a trader it will move up a little at this time and possible it will go south till 1.3780. Chances are, it will move down again. A sharp down.

Eur/usd could go down at these levels, a move towards 1.3755. It could go even lower if trend line is broken.
