You are still struggling with your TDI. That is simply pure nonsense when you have been losing money for 9+ years.

Don't be afraid to start all over again in 2025. Give yourself another chance, IF you still cannot make money with the TDI in post#25 after another 3 years, then you should know when to quit retail spot forex trading.

You have to learn to un-learn all the crap you have read in Forex Factory about the TDI being your holy grail. By now, after more than 9+ years losing money with your holy grail, you must realize what the OP aka Big E said about the TDI is only a helping indicator and you need to be in the league of intermediate+ level traders (#3085) to be able to use the TDI as one of your helping indicators (#202).

I am new to ForexFactory.com and this thread, and I have been reading through old posts. It’s surprising to see that this ongoing verbal war has persisted for approx a decade. I feel compelled to share my observations.
After BigE (RIP), it is only Emmanuel who has genuinely kept this thread alive by consistently responding to queries, clarifying doubts, and providing insights to those seeking to understand this trading method. Emmanuel's patience and dedication to helping others deserve appreciation instead of criticism.
On the other hand, the constant arguments and criticisms between some members, especially Tekkies, seem to do more harm than good. Constructive criticism is essential for growth, but pointless conflicts only distract from the purpose of this community (learning and improving as traders)
It's also worth noting that the trading systems and methods that worked during BigE’s (RIP) time are still relevant and effectice today but these must be adapted to match the evolving nature of the markets. (which Enmanuel is constantly doing)
What worked a decade ago may require adjustments to remain effective in today's fast paced, digitally driven trading environment.
In the past, wars were fought with swords. Today, they are fought with words and ideas, especially in online communities.

To the tradingview users who cant find the indicator here's a script for the tdi, it has allert so you dont need to look at the chart all the time. Also a great tip for learning this strategy or if you have questions in general on any forum. Paste the link of the forum in chatgpt and ask your question it even picks out the posts the devs posted if you ask it to, here is the script and ask chatgpt to make this text so that it can be pasted in tradingview if copying this text and pasting it doesn't work:

- looks like we have a few sideways range bound market type conditions

- therefore look for pairs with potential to run 3 to 8 candles swings on your 4Hr charts,

Beware of the JPY pairs when trading the New York Sunday open.

Price will most liekly gap from last Friday' New York 5pm Close.

Weekly

- very strong pull-back at the end of the week

IF you trade blindly the TDI green line crosses the red line, you will lose money.

1Hr
- big candle close on Friday
- give them a few hours for the lagging TDI indicators to normalise, then look for Price Action setups and confirm them with the Stoch(8,3,3) and TDI in post #25.

there is a flaw in the code when you plot the current bar(0)

you need to study the TDI in post #25 in real-time live market and learn how this TDI version calculate the RSI green price line of the bar/candle(1).
