...Asian lo breaks to the downside again, more decisively this time with a concurrent 1st downside b/o of y/day lo, the steepest 4hr ascending t/line, and Dly S1 too.... That4 fib cluster running 3366-58 starts @ current price, and below that 3351-38 is a 6 fib cluster, with Dly S2 in there too.

...price @ the current dly lo just about touched the 50% of current wkly lo-hi move in that 3366-58 3 fib cluster. It did touch 38.2% of last wk lo - current wk's hi move. 46% of 30day adr traveled so far today. 71% of 13wk awr so far this week.

For me the DXY looks like could be going up, but on the 4 hour, we could be forming a bear flag. I keep looking back at the DXY when it crossed above 100 3 years ago. I bet tons of people were shorting when it did that, thinking "Surely it's going to retrace." No doubt they got burned heavily. I know I did, but it just kept going and going.

We are now onto our 12 consecutive day beneath 100. It might not be retracing above it, but as the monthly candle closes today, who knows what May will bring.

...although we have that aforementioned 3 fib cluster and that prev 1hr/4hr sw lo zone (disrespcted as pot sbr hence shown as a hollow zone on chart,) that Moty pointed out, and is marked on my 4hr chart above, I'm not a big fan of entering a swing position when there isn't a prev sw hi or lo (s) zone (s) on @ least the 30min t/f, but always preferably on 1hr and higher, as well as such other stuff (as confluence) if it is there. In this case, @ the current dly lo, there is some 2hr bullish hidden div supporting the entry, but this could develop further on any deeper drop, and may stay good whilst price is above 3280. For me it's not so crucial as I am an intraday trader with scalp+ targets, - ie try to hold if PA on successively higher t/f's from that used for entry supports the entry.

Also, on the DXY weekly chart below. The week of the 7th Nov 2022 was a big move down, but it didn't get filled for another 26 months, over 2 years. So will the gap up to 101.25, or even 106 get filled? Possibly, but it will probably require a liquidity crisis that will causes lots of companies, organizations and governments to require a huge amount of dollars, probably accompanied by a gold sell off. That event will probably be due to having to pay off lots of dollar denominated debt quickly.

Hi, good points. And technically those prev sw lo zones become potential sbr, although these are generally potentially stronger if part of the downmove. You could probably say these were the bottom of a range on that wkly t/f?

I'm gravitating to a move up to about 101, but at a later date, a event happening that causes a liquidity crisis. That will be the catalyst for dollar demand, allowing it to close back to 106. Even the EURCHF crash in 2015 was eventually closed, with price returning to where the crash began. It took 2.5 years but it still did it.

...might be interesting to see what ADP and then U.s Advance GDP do later re the impact of Trump's trade war!? Could shake things up a bit? Meantime, current dly lo is just a pip below the bottom of that 3266-58 4 fib cluster. This Asian lo downside b/o and the 1st y/day lo downside b/o both remain true so far.
