I did some statistical analysis over the weekend using 22 years of price data. Looking at the 8 hour timeframe, the probability of any given candle being bearish is 48.92%. Using a binomial distribution, the probability of a move like last week where there are 13 bullish candles and 2 bearish candles is about 0.5%. Or, on average a week like last week occurs once every approximately 200 weeks or roughly once every 4 years.
