One of the most common denominator and probably most watched chart is USD.

But Is there any reliable source out there, that actually showed the true picture of

DXY - is a basket, not actual USD. So strength of one depends on Weakness of its counterpart currencies.

USD dollar index- another basket, not the underlying USD.

Some said VIX is the USD, as they are heavily manipulated, which often the most bearish news for equities get absorbed quickly, just because VIX failed to present the risk involved


US yield- My preferred Dollar Chart especially Us10Y yield curve.
Short term USyield- US02Y, often shows the short term forces in the underlying USD price movement.
These 2 always show the true state of the underlying forces behind actual US Dollar.

Many will oppose this view, but lemme ask somehting simple.

If an asset that is denominated by USD, then it should always fall when your USD index or DXY rises, yet, history showed the opposite happen.

But, when US treasury yield do something, the opposite happen on every XXX/USD.

If anyone can create a dollar index, and promote it right, is it really the actual USD or it is famous because they advertise it well and majority accept it as the actual value of US dollar?
Even if it is accepted by majority, does it actually show the true value of actual US dollar???

What you are missing is that CFD trading is governed by 4 rules:
1. The market moves price to open orders.
2. Trading must continue all the time so that there are reference prices.
3. The relationship between items traded must be maintained so that you cannot simply switch items and profit.
4. The trading computers are supposed to make a profit.

There is nothing in this about news, sentiment and so. These factors impact where traders place open orders.
Market liquidity is so great that it can force price in the opposite direction if all of the new orders are in one direction until balance is restored in the market.

It doesn't matter whether you look at an index, currency, or anything else. Price is going to move where the market needs it to move!

Early this year , gold broke the high of Dec and Nov 2024,.
The date was 21st Jan.
Is it coincidence ?

Overall a bullish structure due to global uncertainty peaking in relation to Trump tariffs.
It is short term buys riding as we are reaching the final EW journey.

Hi mr dan, its been a while.
On your post i completely agree that any tick movement, is an order placed at market orders. When one side strength failed to match the other, the playing field move to a new arena. (its like you level up (buy) in a game when you beat the boss at a level or the big boss beat the hell outta you (you level down))

Forget another CFDs,
Focus onto any pair goes like XXX/USD (Currency, stock, crypto, CFDs, Options, ...).
