I have no opinion whether cable will drop to that area or not, too far off for me to consider.

But if you see a gap there then I would question the data you are using, unless it is the meaningless 4 pips amount that you are referring to.

Somehow IMO don't think a 4 pips gap has any effect after a 850 pip up move.

This week was all about Yen strength, next will be about USD, a moot trading day consolidation gearing up for another slaughter of USD crosses me thinks

A half day left in the tradiing week after large moves. Don't think there is anything left to happen till next week.

Depends on what you mean by saying the word "effect". Trading just on this stuff doesn't make sense, but in combination with some other signals it might provide some additional clues. Besides, unlike people, the market has an absolute memory. It never forgets anything that happened in the past.
I'm also kind of curious to see how long it will take for the majority to realize that the trend is over.

I had a short trade after the news @ 2.0336 with no SL, I wish it could break the daily low 2.0272 now
