Just a note on timing the entry. You will find that the market will move into position in and around the opens.
This is when you need to sit wait, and let the market show you your entry.
Don't be afraid of tight stops, the rejection candle has happened for a reason so take advantage of it.

Hi SW,
I am posting the correct entry for you and others to learn from. If I was in this trade it would still be open with a tight stop.
Remember the market will show you the way at the opens.
Where are your line charts? They will help you.

My view is there is only one trade on EU and that was a long around London Open which is 10.15 Candle close.

I just have a question though, why wouldnt you consider the short at london open instead? We had a M15 bullish rejection.

3 times we have had rejection in the same zone for a Long. Late entry by 11 pips
2.6R target
SL set at -12 pips

Review:
SL hit. NY session closed with a gap just under SL ... it was not a smart move to enter 15 minutes before NY session closes trying to beat the increase in Spread that occurs at close of NY close.

Impulse move is up. I am always looking for the impulse move (Energy) and the weaker Pullback.

This is likely to be the trade entry. However I am always cautious taking trades just before major news as I use such tight stops. Lets see how things go with it.

Sometimes I place trade 1 or 2 seconds before the close of the rejection candle or 1 or 2 seconds after the close of rejection.
I glad this has been mentioned. My apologies for not discussing this, I should have as it may have confused some of you.

If the current candle is going to close as a rejection candle I will on occasion just put the order on.
Any questions let me know.
You have to be aware that the rejection candle is a strong rebound and if you are not quick enough you can miss an entry. Not always but just be aware of it.
Practice makes nearly perfect.

Looking at it again, why wouldnt you short the 7pm NYT M15 candle?

There was impulse down and SNR level too
