Took 3 trades during the London session today, did some intra-day post-mortem which you can use as a reference for journaling if you haven't been doing so.

You can refer to post #1201, for rating entries.

1. UJ Long
B entry, zone in the middle (Asia high) is an area to take potential partials @ 3.3R. TP target of 7.5R rests nicely in yesterday's London session if it does go all the way up.

Update: Exited full position @ +5R

2. Gold / XAUUSD Long (variation of okay entry
Rejection candle came quite late into the session, B+ (variation with wick piercing zone but body closing within zone) entry, but still within the first 90 minutes of opening. TP of 7.5R rests nicely on the Asia session's high, with minimal congestion.

Update: Exited full position @ +4R

3. GU Short
Good opportunity for a short with the rejection candle wick piercing the zone and failing to close within. Would have been an A textbook entry based on Rob's system, but it got cut short by the inflation news spike. -1R
Depending on how you view this trade, it could be considered a good loss because even though I got taken out, the trade still went in my favour later on.

On the other hand, you could say that with a bigger SL, you might have prevented being SL-ed, but note that the risk/reward would have become unappealing to most. Given how narrow the trading range was earlier during Asian session, I would say that such a statement could only be made with hindsight.

Hope today's trades have shown that even A/ A+ entries will fail, and trading is all about stacking probabilities. Don't beat yourself up if quality setups don't work out. Also, don't get attached/ fall in love with your trades/ entries. You are simply an operator, you see a shot you take it.

If trades 1 and 2 hit their TP targets, I would sit out the rest of this week and only enter further trades if I see quality (A+) setups.

I have been all over the place with trades this week, not quite focused as setting up investments for family, it is good to have you post to show the possibility of this system.

Very nice clear thread. I have no idea why so little interest maybe it is people just chasing the latest thing on here, I will see how the method works for me over the next few months, not expecting too much next week as going into Christmas.
But being able to look for a set up around the market opens suits me perfectly. I am uk based so should get plenty of volume on the opening push. I will try to keep things simple and just look at GB US. and GB JPY. And if you do not object will post what I see as a set up and anyone please feel free to comment, as we all learn from our mistakes.

So little interest because lack of belief. They see the way I trade as too different from the way the books, trading courses and mentors teach them. So it cannot be real.
This will be my last post for a while as finishing up for Christmas.
This trade wasn't a 7.5R but not all are.

I think, this is a very good thread. Strategy is simple, but requiring market study, chart and price action knowledge. With all other strategies I tried, everyone was saying, I need to check where is the SnR and then wait for indicators to align. Here, this is the SnR and no indicators.
With simple horizontal lines at key levels, price is almost always reacting, where I'm anticipating. All I need is more patience, and calm mind.

Selling the pound against the dollar in the European session is not the best solution. But it would be just right against the yen. Verbal intervention from the Bank of Japan will help us. But the maximum profit would have been only 3R, otherwise the rebound before the news would have eaten up all the profits.

The Bank of Japan conducted a verbal intervention today. We are selling a pair of USDJPY, an unusual rejection candle, a pinbar. Therefore, we sell with a pending order Sell 157.04, sl 157.14 After two candles on the pin bar, the order is executed.

I didn't notice a great deal on the SP500. The news on inflation was very favorably received by the market. A reversal has occurred. Buy 5848, sl 5833 tp +7.5R

A message to everyone regarding finding trades.
The setups that Graf has posted occur on the majority of days each month.
Think about it, 7.5R trades, what's not to love about this system.
Put the effort in. Learn about rejection candles.

Some facts you need to be aware of:
If you buy and sell breakouts or wait for confirmation you will fail.
If you base your trading decisions on indicators you will fail.

follow simple rules for entries and exits
Cut-Losses-Short minus 1R
Let-Profits-Run +2R to +5R, +7.5R would be bonus.
