Hey!

Apologies for late reply. There is access to true order book data but not through regular brokers or mt4/mt5 platforms and it’s expensive. The whole point of having order book is to see real bid/ask prices. How this particular forex sentiment is calculated is not real. It’s based on accounts who are long/short without real “volume”. Suppose there are 1000 traders signed up into myfxbook platform and connected it. Now platform can see that 400 traders are long and 600 traders are short. All of them are connected to broker throught mt4/mt5, ctrader then:
1. Their orders are not in actual market thus we don’t know size.
2. Volume?? Candlesticks are not volume.
3. Total value? Don’t know. Calculate from lots and convert to $? Not even 0.01% of total market.

For these couple of main reasons it becomes useless indicator. Even if you add in all the brokers sentiments in and try to calculate all of them together to create sentiment calculations from this I assume it wouldn’t be enough to create a counter trade effectively because most use mean reversion based strategies and it’s always going to end up in drawdown from both sides. From this example: 40% long and 60% short. You take long but end up in drawdown anyways because it’s all mean price from something.

Glad you see it I haven’t fully figured out the purpose of his postings yet but we’ll get to it. All info is appreciated.

It’s with most of our local impersonator hedge fund traders and donators to overseas and casual “helpers” around here. Same story different approach. This picture illustrates their strategy very well.

Meanwhile in H4, notice how price has not been able to break the descending 200 SMA (Blue). The rising wedge (White) has been broken and tested from underneath. This looks down to me. Probably to the 61.8% Fib at 1.2612. After that we shall see.
