Hi, the % risk does really matter, what matter the most is how much round you want with your capital.
10% will only give you 10 shots.
5% 20shots
1% 100 shots
0.5% 200 shots.
(a fixed % of the initial balance divided for the next Xth trade setups(shots))
Whether its a 10k account, 100k, 500k or 5m. The same approach must be taken.
From this, your probability to win and reward to risk comes into play. You can scale up your trade size on each 25k or vice versa
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

I'm not betting against the dollar fricking hell of a support formed on the monthly and spike out of it you can see 113 all the way away so I'm doubling down on a uptrend for gbpusd I'll wait and see. Good thing you reminded me to check out the price action for the dxy

my sl changes from trade to trade so its not static since I trade higher timeframes... might be over a 100 pips if the weekly says one thing but the 4H entry goes in drawdown than I just sit patiently and pray the weekly chart reasserts dominance soon enough

in USA we have different trading rules from other places so on daily and weekly and even 4H for that matter have to use wider stops since we cant hedge like you guys can only average up or down unless we do it in another account or subaccount so people should make adjustments to a system depending on your country or broker rules

I like the way you think my brother that's how i put it and that's why I'm confident I don't really trade gold because it highly volatile so my pairs I've gotten use to trading over the year and 4 months of trading the volatility it manageable I'm confident 100k 20 shots because as I say I won't trade everyday and my risk rewards 5000 risk sometimes turns to the reward is up to 30k so 6 to 5 times my risk so even if I have a negative win rate I'm still profitable

I once was afraid to trade gold and indices, but while i was refining my strategy on GU, EU, UJ AND AU, i was accumulating data of Gold, SPX and Nas100. Today with ease, i only trade UJ as currency, rest are metals and equities. We all start from somewhere but we must keep our eye only on our objective. Thats the only thing matters. Best trade i got was nas100 buy RR 1:43. It was buy and hold, but swap fees eat lots on my scalping to swing trade. Since then, everything change. My Avg reward to risk on my wins is 7+. I stopped asking many question since then. If it worked, then be it.

My issues with gold is becuase of lot sizing on demo i do well but on the 4 hr thats alot of stop loss area i cant really recreate with my small account unless im going 0.01 lots which isnt really promising

Thanks for the response.

In US, the restriction depends. I trade for an Hedged Fund based in US and it's allowed though under certain conditions. Basically, the Institutional Platform allows it.

Careful approaching support areas where it can out burst in impulse up ! Specially just below 2963 and 56 , breaks and sudden back possible if !
If impulse up then minimum 51 pips to jump in shortest time , not sees such news though , but still can have hided agenda !

From my own perspective, formation of base/ bottom takes a process. This is just the preparation stage. It's either one take a risk now and forget it or wait for full formation but i am almost certainly sure the real movement cannot be today.

GU may still go up a little ( not beyond the current high) before finally comes down...

gotta say, you are assuming that rob has winning trades because he never ever posted trades at all and has winning trades by word of mouth? Does this mean I have to show a TE to prove my trades? I ask about the fairness of that. I took my TE off because I was ridiculed with my small trades. I have no have no obligation for a TE, by the way. and stopped it. My primary motivation was to show noobs to trade small. I guess a big mistake.

You need multi timeframe price structure analysis to get that low risk, high return trade.
You are trading that 4hr level but on 3mins timeframe. It same as any other level, just the downside becomes limited.
Also there are certain time span in which high/low of the day is printed. Matching your price level with these time span, increase the probability for price to bounce in your favour and reduce the probability for drawdown.

Whatever the system, always place SL.

All this time in FF, i only saw 2 traders do it this way, PAT CHIKO and HODA.
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!
