Thats only for GU, the same goes for UJ, XAU, SPX, NAS100, and XAG(trying to catch the top), if we dont have a clear strategy, that give us an edge, irrespective of this particular one trade, that trader is on the losing side, which is known as negative market expectation by mathematical money management terminology( which means no matter how much money you throw in the strategy, you come loser- the only thing that differentiate one loser from other loser is how fast they lose their capital)

Winning or losing one trade does not mean anything. "Set of trades" gives the actual meaning in trading.

And i dont need today to buy or sell GU, my strategy is clear, using intraday setup which MUST be aligned with price structure for a swing trade. My holding period is the only difference and swaap fees for some of my account.
The same mindset many adopt in other instruments. If one's cannot implement his strategy in other securities, he wiill stay the 0.01lot traders forever.

I'm not gonna look for any other charts that have more history cause the aussie don't mean anything to me...put corgis count on that chart...it will prolly work better than his 5 and 15 min counts LOL

Again I think your dead wrong about where the Aussie is heading but I don't care, I don't really ever trade the Aussie but if I do I'm not concerned where it's heading as long as I can make money.
Whatever MA you've put on the chart it's now under the bodies of the candles so suggesting the Aussie will head higher not lower.
With China as our biggest trading partner were locked into the shenanigans of China and south east asia a long with whatever is happening in the US.
Because of this the Aussie can be doing the opposite to other dollar pairs

does it matter how many trades?

reasons to buy?
1. Price is 300p above yearly open and we are in the last quarter and i dont see how the picture changes aggressively in the 2.5 month left when the elections are around the corner.
2. Current month drop heavy before taking September high, no a good sign for reversal, currently we are below September's low
3. Weekly structure is bullish.
4. Daily structure is bullish.
5. 4h and below running bearish but kind of slow motion.
6. 6M chart showing 1.375 and above.

now when i take all of that into equation and looking with a glasses of 100p sl and 100p tp what trade you will take today?

You call GU daily structure bullish. You better stick to your ICT, and do what you do best.

You know I give credit where credits due and one good thing about Albos governance is they have paid back 90 billion dollars in debt and that's a very good thing.
Our communists here in Victoria need to borrow a leaf from the federal communists and start paying back the 180 billion dollars they have racked up, the idiots....
So with the feds paying back debt at a fast clip I see the Aussie heading higher not lower

checking charts computer platform to see better if missed anything , all the same , waiting 0850 in eurusd and 2976 breaks and hold to start again for next targets lows . take care

eurusd tests once 0850 . may retest and breaks for next sr 0839! 0824/15 all ok if continues direct !
then gu should breaks 2976 for 2955 , may 2926/2895 targets

i took a lot trades on gold and i lost a lot of them.. goes a 40$ against me? Not sure where i put 400p SL.
but overall i agree, Gold drive me crazy on 2024.
check my last month+ on GOLD thread and show me where i took a sell when price is 200-300 dollars above last time we talked there.

about GU and the post i share yesterday.. we will wait and see how PA unfolds

But you didnt ride the $40, right? Where the money is made.
And it happen majority of the time you position yourself.
many traders focus too much on the internal picture(one trade), when the probability lies on the external picture(set of trades).

This year I am in a general loss only because a lot of short trades on gold, even my best setups failed there.

Not sure why you look for the place when i failed by asking you why buyers are suckers?
even if we talk about 100 trades.. i dont see the reason to call me or them suckers.

by the way.. its not 50/50.. trading is like a vector there is more dimensions.

Well, this is time consuming, try to read and understand, trading in the zone by mark douglass, he helped me with many phases.
With conviction, i can say, if you truly understand what he is trying to say, you will also find your answer in your own mind.
This is what he will do, channel your own mind and understanding of the trading psychology, something that is already in your mind, but you didnt see it.

This is why many traders said, trading is all about perception. It is in your own head. Some said 'you should fight your own demon'

Even my best setups failed, many many times, but with proper money management and trading psychology and belief, able to still survive and thrive at the same time.

And for money management where the consistency lies, mathematics of money management. by ralph vince.
For me, both books work side by side. Both authors basically said the same thing, but one using basic english, the latter use mathematical equation.

2. I have no questions, i don't try to figure out the market, because i can't.
3. Losing is a part of it and i dont get emotional about it.
4. The only way to win it is by risk management, the PA and the rest is just a way to understand the risk.
5. And yes i will probably finish this year on the losers side, but not on the suckers side.
