Well Bee, for me it feels like offloading. Some smart deep pockets getting out of USD incrementally... so the move could come tomorrow. Or after London close.

And more.... please take note that if the DXY stays where it is right now, it will print in the daily an outside Boellinger Band bar - something that happens very rare (only one time in the last 14 month!). It almost always comes along with a considerable retrace.

just shy of 400 pips down since last week. That’s a huge drop so could be spot on there

From a bullish move perspective going back to the daily pivot would be a good area to close even if it’s shy of the days open. I can’t see a big rise over say 13130 as there isn’t any volume. There is as mentioned probably a big move about to kick off. Up or further down.
closing near 1310-15 would still from a bearish perspective give it liquidity for a bigger drop tomorrow too. Plenty of food for thought

Yes, if you have the job of going USD short... turning around from a 400 pips move is not done by flipping a switch. That's a process. 5 straight days DXY up (full body candles)... that is a lot of liquidity.

But if you get it done... there will be many that have to short cover

Looks like compression liquidity to me. I might be wrong

people may be asking themselves why is that jagoff Zebi going long GU since he hates gbp....well...

the dollar chart still bullish but intraday on the 1 and 4H charts it has to test the midpoint of that great big candle to see if theyre more dollar bulls hiding there

I use dollar chart technicals and ignore EU and GU technicals to trade euro and gbp

that's my "edge" since nobody else on this site prolly does that LOL

I'm currently countering the prevailing trend, away from last week's low. Although I might be in too soon - sometimes the dealer will open the first couple days of the week in continuation with the trend that was put in on the previous week, then setup for a reversal as the they induce retail traders to chase the short behavior and fill the other side of those sellers which as a consequence creates for themselves a net long position at discounted rates.

1.30300 is not a bad place to look for longs, in case they breakout to the downside again, induce a sellout, and then apply the brakes before distributing their position to the upside.
