Israel understands the limits of USA support, that is well established. I don’t think anyone expects troop support. However, being the USA’s only real friend in the Middle East does work in Israel’s favour if it’s existence is under genuine threat.

...just a little bit more on how Banks/Hedge-funds actually use research/analysis/modeling. This may help Zebi to better understand (not guess based on a pre-conceived narrative that he has grown very fond of,) that it is not about prediction. They too (the so called 'smart-money' see the folly of that, - only the amateurs do not.) Not a great deal has changed from my day and in fact I had a phone conversation this morning with a pal who is one of the best traders @ a top London Hedge fund re a certain scenario that was developing and how he/they were tackling it. I mentioned in passing the discussion I was having here re prediction and well, let's just say he laughed.

So, these institutions will act on research analysis to try and monetize it. In the event there is no exact/close historical precedent(s) to a developing/possible/probable fundie/global macro theme they are interested in, ( ie that it isn't a repeating pattern,) they will extrapolate what they can for guidance, and model two, or more probably three likely price scenarios over a given future time horizon. (Probabilities not prediction.) After Risk, Compliance, and Governance have had their say, and the trade(s) is given the go-ahead, the traders will then express that theme in the most appropriate markets at the given risk. (By the way, traders will have input into the research/analysis/modeling, and very often instigate it, so they 'buy into it.')

As time goes by, and the position (s) play out, new/additional information always comes to light as the fundie global/macro theme on which it is based develops (or not,) and the model which has been written for it updates itself, and new/additional trades are taken in the same or other markets/instruments possibly to hedge, possibly add to any individual/particular positions (s.) Overall size/exposure can also be adjusted. Sometimes an algorithm does a lot of the work. Ie the idea that a position is taken on day 1 and just left to do it's own thing until stop/limit or time expiry is just a fallacy. These things are actively managed to the end of the time period if that is later than the targets set. A lot of a trader's job is actively 'managing' the open positions. The very idea that they act on a prediction is a nonsense. This, (albeit simplistically put,) is how it actually is, and no matter how many times someone says that it is all based on prediction, doesn't make it true!

That's why it's sometimes ridiculous if some traders are able to make predictions about market direction and then point with arrows on their charts that prices will follow their direction.

Since I realized that the market is not a gambling market because there are many smart people in it who are able to analyze it in a structured and efficient manner,since then I have studied how prices react and follow the direction of prices based on PA.

It's a shame that traders learn to predict rather than following what the market wants

it would be too presumptuous if you dare to put an arrow in your analysis, and if there is a trader like that, then I will look at his analysis with one eye, no matter how great he is

and please show me how to become a billionaire like you Mr. waveskierob. lol.
