That trade you guys were talking over made 40 pips in a few hours, could be easily taken profit manually or putting a positive SL below the breakeven so it's a W no matter what. It was a good call, yours was a good call too.

FX market moves like 1 step forward 2 steps back/2 steps forward 1 step back. So both sellers and buyers can make money in the same day. There's not only 1 way to make money. There are multiple ways.

well thats where you're wrong, because the high risk was to the upside, either way I merely said its not going there and it didn't
he entered short in a bullish hourly at the end of a bullish weekly

Targets are just vague expectations, since we all get what the market gives. Sometimes more than we expect, sometimes less. What matters is putting a positive SL imho. So Wins don't turn into Losses. And every trade that ends in a + is a good trade

All I actually said was that's not going to work out on the parameters laid out, I could have also added that's a bloody risky idea but I didn't,
you guys want to make an argument out of nothing.

I am not arguing with you at all, i even congratulated you for your good call.

The highlighted part is what's bugging people. Speaking in absolutes. We all have our trading ways, ideas, likes and dislikes but it's subjective. So speaking of subjectives like it's an absolute rule of the market comes off as arrogance.

Before you say you are right in the end which is why "that's a 'rule' not a personal opinion", there were also times those bullish weekly bars have reversed and changed into dojis, red bars etc.

Idk mate each to their own and yours was a good call too, im just saying it may bug ppl. Im not arguing at all. Thanks

I also sold GU and closed trade with TP around that candle you highlighted. 50pips from a price rejection to the next price level down.
Buyers win money. Sellers also win money. As long as you trade according to your strategy you can win or lose (no 100% winning strategy) but still successful.

As a bystander, no one is starting an argument with you in the last few pages of this thread. Only a person wanting to argue with others would think others are "making an argument out of nothing", or you have personal agenda with other members.

Once you start trading profitably, you should find no reason to win over anyone on a public forum like here, when others are strangers to you, and you are enjoying the actual life in real world with the profit.

Anyways, I hope you can achieve profitability soon and realize the meaningless-ness of your insistence of being "right" in this forum. Taking flight tomorrow morning so not replying long.

Nordling, I agree. It may give the impression that there is only one way to see the unfolding market. But we trade on different TF and have different objectives for the day, week, or month. I must add that @Bones' long-term analysis (weekly and higher) is spot on and I think he doesn't intend it to be the truth carved in the stone.
