Overbought means nothing on an indicator, have talked about this before, indicators can stay overbought for a long time and price keeps going in the same direction while all those going the other way are losing their shirts.

The only thing that will tell you when price has truly reversed is using the swings to confirm price action, Charles Dow invented technical analysis and it stands up well into todays markets.

The minor trends change the direction of intermediate swings and the intermediate swings change the direction of the primary trend, that is the basic principle to figure out to be a better trader, and any one of these trend can be a correction , figure that out

Look at my USDCHF, USDJPY , GBPUSD AND EURGBP recent trades and why they worked, because i stopped chasing the immediate trend which tells you nothing apart from price is going up or down , it does not tell you if your trading a corrective swing or part of correction or any other useful information, price is not about HH, AND HL or LH or LL because that does not take into account corrective patterns that can fool you into thinking price is trending when it is simply a correction and this simple hh,hl - lh,ll type of mentality is completely wrong.


What happens when the price moves up then puts in an irregular flat or a expanding flat then moves up again and another irregular flat can you still read that trend , i doubt many can, most will keep drawing the textbook HH, HL - LH, LL and whine about trends do not work, well have bad news for you guys , they do not work for you because you do not know the correct way to read the market.

Im not saying i get it right every time but if the info above helps someone that is all i am trying to do here so do not be offended
