I use sessions .

For example LO is dropping, never attempt to buy in London session but when NY opens, i try.

...just hanging around for the Boe/Mpc stuff in 1/2hr or less. Price @ current dly lo reached 178% 30day adr in a prev 1hr/minor 4hr sw lo zone = pot supp, (from 5th July last,) and bottom of a prev 4hr sw hi zone = pot rbs, just about @ that asc t/line that joins 2300~2615. Price met buyers there. 30min and 1hr very o/s / o/s @ currently dly lo re osc's.

Strongish bounce from current dly lo but, needless to say, 1st downside b/o of asian lo and y/day's lo remains true.

By the way; a 178% of 30day adr move became only 108pips when 30day adr went down to (currently) 61pips! 91% of 13wk (1/4yr) awr traveled so far this week now.

Before the Global Financial Crisis GFC the markets were awash with money and there would be 100 pip and 150 pip days all the time.
I think also algo trading has screwed up the forex market somewhat as well

I get your point. I really do. But at the same time what should we all stay and put our head in the sand and trust in god and “survive” the markets and be okay with thinking that everyone tries to “stop hunt”, “manipulate” you and so on? Honestly what the hell? Are we really that stupid? Day after day people are getting beaten up here. “Stop hunts”, “manipulations” blabla. I’m trying to challenge these thoughts by encouraging people to think more and get over that useless crap. Yes it might come out “aggressive” to folks. But people here are taking beating day in day out year after year after year and NOT DOING ANYTHING TO CHANGE THAT. That’s worse. They still follow SMC, ICT and all that crap thinking “I need to practise more blabla”. No, you are wasting your time. It’s not me saying “trust me
bro”. Just open TE-s and see.

I’m not here for the trouble but the things I read here makes me facepalm myself super hard and I question it.

...fxstreet.com forecast re the vote was spot on, this site was 1 vote out. Bit of a non-event on the immediate knee-jerk reaction, and not tradeable for me.

There is a new current dly lo @ top of a prev 1hr minor sw lo zone = pot supp. 187% 30day adr traveled now.
The prev 4hr/dly sw hi zone that starts @ 2840, = pot rbs, is not very far from current dly lo, (10pips.) Wkly S3 runs thru dly part of it @/around 2731.

Yes, I thought about that, too. What I can see if that the swings sometimes get just bigger/take longer. If you watch USD/JPY in comparision you can see what is possible if big players would be alowed to trade like they wanted(at USD/JPY it is currently so wild because BOJ is trading all the time, driving it up and down). Lots of restrictions were coming in last 10 years and some law suits against banks (2008,2009 and 2012 I think) for manipulating the market.

Fun fact: Currently, imho, the central banks themselve manipulate the markets for less volatility. May be because they want to calm it down for Digital Cash invention. But Big Players need to earn money so they concentrate their actions more,- means less volatility but if a market is going, it's going but in much smaller moves that we are used to it 10 years ago. Of course, algo is mixing things up, too.

But I'm sure the central banks also use algos. You ask who is paying that kind of manipulation? Well.... if it goes good, the market itself, if it goes bad (currently BOJ) than the tax payer - as usual.
