Surely anybody can make a call, a good trader will back his call up with reasoning. Gut instinct is a sure way to go broke. If this thread is going to keep moving forward, we need constructive calls.

Hmmm pretty messy price action today on cable. I was following it for a possible long entry but Im not liking how it's unfolding on the intraday scope today.

Thanx for the info.. that is much much better than just plain statement of cable will drop.. really appreciate ur explanation

H1 bar closed below 160 means failed attempt.. r we going to see another attempt or cable will test 130 area again??

- Gieve sees signs that consumers are becoming more cautious
- Will not make predictions on rate
- Decisions are data dependent
- Inflation coming back quite sharply due to gas
- Sees inflation fall as a one off change
- Price pressures have built up over the past year
- Consumers becoming more cautions
- Issue for me is "have we done enough to bring inflation back to target"

I think Euro was having a nice PB on H1 and H4. But will it affect the cable or cable will hold euro's PB??

I forgot to post this yesterday but 2.0165-2.0180 is full of short orders. There is another sell barrier at 2.0200. A group of long orders forming at 2.0230-40

Id just say careful of the amount of insight u put into order books of retail makers they are the herd and the herd is usually wrong and only right as long as the professionals set them up for slaughter.

E/U has broke out from its range and heading higher.....might even target 1.37 today

Meanwhile usd/chf has also broke out from its range and heading lower.



GBP/USD today a bit slow...however I expect the momentum to pick up soon.

You´re right about it. I don´t use this as a source of market trend direction only as possible support and resistance levels and til now works fine.

No more mushy peas ? peas too mushy ? I am out of the UK - selling my many millions of GBpeas and going somewhere where they have lots of peas and lots of dripping to fry the fish - and I dont mean dripping wet...

seriously, I thought the exchange rate depended more on Euros and interest rate differentials - and not GBpeas ? This fundamental stuff is a bit to 'real world' for forex markets ?
