Eyes on the news 3:30 hours from now. Very hard to predict it ATM

my prediction for dxy is the same as before CPI news, so entry was wrong yesterday

Trying long GU, targeting yesterday's high with a tight SL. Currently reacting from Asian highs, let's see if we can close above.

Greetings everyone,

It's been a busy couple of days. Nevertheless, I managed to sell some GU yesterday but didn't have time to be here.
For today, I anticipate further downside. Currently, I'm keeping an eye on GJ for a potential short setup.

Let's observe how it unfolds.

...the U.s cpi reaction y/day finally knocked thru the prev sw hi zone to 2823 that existed up to the dly chart, (on 5th attempt - 2804, 2801, 2817, 2811, then punched thru to the upside,) to record a new dly general uptrend hi of 2860-y/day's dly hi and now current wkly h,i which is @ the base of the dly/wkly parts of the prev 4hr/dly/wkly/minor mthly sw hi zone that extends up to 2893, = prev res = pot res.

Strong p/back from that hi to Asian lo/current dly lo where there is some 1hr and 2hr bullish hidden div that may stay valid as a repeating pattern whilst price above 2705.

...bulls presently struggling to continue the upside momentum off 2772 - current dly lo, - the current p/back lo of y/day's up move. Next downside fibs on the dly are @ 2762 then 2727.

That's the issue. Price just sits in one spot and then pumps or dumps 100 pips in a minute. Getting in on auch trade takes an amount of luck. I'm also long for a scalp but I doubt it would work because today US data might be all green (I don't know how they cook these data sets) and price does a dump.
