DislikedUJ.... might we see some Yen buying Thursday or perhaps Monday given upcoming USD liquidity squeeze end of this week (Q1)? Buying Yen in order to purchase USD in other currencies? Thoughts anyone? The corollary is, if UJ heads south, cable goes north. Or maybe, an inverse correlation and Gippy becomes a sell? {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} Hey, I'm back!!!My live account net equity is now, once again, at an all time high. My demo accounts also made good profit. I made good profit today because I listened to my gut saying EUR/USD will fly, so I closed all shorts regardless of drawdown, and added to my longs with stop loss at B/E on my lowest position. It paid off very good. Currently, I have 1 long and 2 short positions on EUR/USD. So, I tried this other technique the last 2 weeks, using a stop loss at B/E, but it didn't...

Disliked{quote} Finally!!!New all time high account balance / net equity achieved today. My system finally worked as originally designed because I stuck to it like I was supposed to. Apparently, my biggest issue in the past has been not fully sticking to the system I was working with, any system. During the 140 pip EUR/USD dump last week, I kept adding to my underwater long positions on the way down, per my system, with no less than 10 pips apart, each additional position larger than the last. I ended up with 9...

Disliked{quote} martingales gona kill you eventually...best to add using TA signals on hourly or 4H instead of spacing things out 10 pips apartIgnored
Disliked{quote} I didn't even know about the Martingale strategy until you mentioned it. So I looked it up. Well, I guess my system is somewhat similar to Martingale, but it's tweaked for effectiveness, plus I try to be aware of the macro fundamental situation and higher time frame technical indicators. If we get more volatility, then I will increase my minimum space between positions. I'm not setting limit orders every 10 pips. I'm just letting price do what it wants when I'm not watching it, then if there is 10 or more pips drawdown when I look at it...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So many times, I've tried to get set up for trending action on EUR/USD, only to wait forever while price consolidated and went sideways. If price action is consolidating 75-90% of the time, then that's where the money is. If and when price does break out, a scalping or Martingale-like system should be set up to be able to handle it without losing too much. I have only ever lost $$ when I tried setting up for a holy grail move that took too long to get started or never happened at all, and I kept getting stopped out, or when I lost faith...Ignored
