Whatevs, a very smart approach...Impulse, correction, impulse, correction...this way you know the potential end of correction or impulse.

(Thinking along similar lines)

Here is a rule of thumb that I use for such scenarios with retraces back into big impulse moves that look good for more in same direction.

'Pitchfork Pivot'. Determined by drilling down to lower timeframes and seeking pivot right after RSI has reached it's deepest point for the whole impulse move down.

Pick a fib level at 61.8% and above, that aligns with some nice S&D zones, and also corresponds with market structure. Right now, GBPUSD on 15min looks like it is in a wave 4, thus hitting 61.8% would be too aggressive for my liking. the 78.6% level, nicely aligning with a much more significant S&D zone looking better. Hit blind and assess reaction off the level and also preceding market structure when in trade.

Good luck with that. BOJ has a thing for putting in floors and ceilings. And btw, can't believe you are taking your intel from the minuscule number of trades on the trade explorers in FF. Seriously? Right, for me BTC provides awesome moves sometimes but it can be unpredictable as well. Sometimes market goes one way, BTC goes another, or at least the spread gets too big. For example, EURUSD is up 40 pips from it's lowest low last week, not a major change. Just a stall in bearish trend or a small pullback. Same with GU, 60 pips. However, BTC already came close to ATHs tho.

I don't see a very strong correlation between DXY and BTC which is why i stay away from it or test the waters with small positions and tight SLs. I like to trade DXY correlated pairs such as EU and GU. Which is also why i don't go to other threads, only GU and EU Rest of the FF feels like backrooms

btc has zero regards to dxy… my personal opinion btc moves are purely based on the hype… now with the etf the big players can manipulate as well… people comparing btc with previous bull run moves… this time is different big players are here as well personally dont expect the same patterns to occur… i just scalp for 400-600$ thats it … even though i feel like it can move higher …

Good day Everyone.
I really don't see anything tradable since yesterday when I exited my GU buys...it was a miracle really, i still didn't know why GU bought yesterday but it favoured me so I exited quickly before greed set in.

The charts aren't looking nice right now so I'm staying out. Would like to short UJ if it gets to Equal High on 4H or Daily TF, that may drag till tomorrow or next who knows?

Anyway, I just don't want to force anything.
Not trading is also a trading decision .

Good point! I agree, it is more of a hype, pump and dump kinda thing rather than a correlation with dxy or other instruments. Cryptos still remain as untamed beasts

guys. Can you tell me about

BTC vs USD = BTC/USD
XAU vs USD = XAU/USD
EUR vs USD = EUR/USD
GBP vs USD = GBP/USD
USD vs JPY = USD/JPY
USD vs CHF = USD/CHF
USD vs CAD = USD/CAD

WHAT does VERSUS do in that situation? RELATED to WHOM? SHOULD we refer to others INDEX? How can we only refer to DXY just for EUR/USD and GBP/USD. The other pairs?
