pat...i know youre a newbie but youre smarter than most of the brain dead seniors in the room so i know you picked up on my lower low hiding in plain sight comment on the quarterly chart

heres a weekly chart where its easier to see and i post it for beginners and those dumb bullish gold seniors altho i dont know why since i dont like most of those seniors LOL... this chart isnt meant for newbies like you pat

explanations are in the chart...if people dont unnerstand what im saying about gold trend being over than read some TA books instead of watching youtube videos

"I FOLLOW 7 PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE AND 26 PEOPLE ON INSTAGRAM - THEY SAY BUY THE DIP AND NOT TO HAVE A STOP AS IT'S FOR THE WEAK. WHAT SHOULD I DO?"

When a prospect asked me this question I did something I have never done before. I laughed and cried at the exact same time.

If you want to take trading seriously you need clarity, action, grit and hard work. You need to turn up every day and sometimes you get battered. It's not just mentally exhausting it's biology too.

Your guts will turn.

Mine did before month-end but that's another story. It is a brutally unforgiving job. Can be very lonely and nothing matters more than your P+L. You will be tested and tried. You'll discover a brand new kind of pain but if you stick with it you'll come out the other side with a lot of joy. More joy than you can imagine.

Here are 7 tips to address the latest question asked by a prospect a few years ago:

1. Do not follow anyone with pictures of fast cars, yachts and white sandy beaches. You should know better than that. The old adage counts: "if it looks too good to be true then it probably is"

2. Every single bank, hedge fund and asset manager has a stop. I've worked with some of the finest and most successful out there. They all have stops.
They may come with different fancy words like VAR or unwind but they mean the same thing. It's called being a grown up and admitting you are wrong. This is really important - even for small retail traders. Ego and pride can prevent you from "losing". I tell all my traders to split their capital and margin. I call it the 80:20 rule. If they eat their margin they are finished. That is not defeat that means they walk away with 80% of their capital.

3. Trading is a job so work at it. Do you think Nasa pilots immediately go into orbit? No - they work on the ground for years until they are picked.

4. Clarity wins every time but try and follow credible people with a few contrarian views. I like JDI, mi2, GMI and Citi techincals. I throw in some healthy contrarian macro that makes me feel uncomfortable. Go against the echo chamber if at all possible BUT respect that chamber.

5. Try and be slightly ahead of the curve (your edge and timing) but not too far ahead because you'll get run over.

6. Remember - rates above macro and risk above rates.

7. Read the first risk/head book I got handed to me on the German Debt desk trading Futures. Mark Douglas Trading in the Zone. I still read it to this very day.

I do hope this helps someone and is of course my only aim.

confusing pa , weekly posing badly for breakout down ., now no signal or confirmation yet fior bear leg ,so bull still in action . 2560/37 or even 2524 may bounce as next daily may ranging / correction up to down if confirm later , having limit up 2667/84 and breaks may enough for 2772/83 play again . bull may back . if so then even higher tf at great resistances , may afloat next 70 days . and new highs also may 2970/3060 ok then ! so logically until breaks and hold confirmation 2500 it in bull run and may easily cover next 3 months or sos . so will watch for upper limits test and break early days next week !
monthly still not over , just close over 2623 or 2691 ( weekly close ) may enough signal that bull may back again !
usdx got intermediate support and got life and again at resistance also . and so may not easily breaks up to to medium range bull leg without test 101.25 areas . so same monthly not over yet signaling a bull , even do next may may range down again. so no clear direction here but 101.25 may need a retest to see the life support !

GBP/USD Daily Candle closed below Support and Weekly Candle too.

1.246 is next and then probably 1.225. We'll take it from there...

This means USD has a way to go still and PMs will go down until that cycle is over.

I think the one who buys Silver on this retracement will make the best move of his life.

What we know?

We know that Fed will start cutting rates VERY soon which will weaken the USD considerably and the plan of every CB is to destroy its currency so they can implement the new system (CBDC).

Inflation will skyrocket soon again which will drive all investors into PMs, Crypto and even Stocks will go up.

Once the system crashes, money from the stock market will move to PMs and probably Crypto and this is that big transfer big names are pounding the table on.

Among all the trash (currencies), USD, CHF and JPY should perform the best with JPY actually being the best of the worst.
