The Bank will continue its Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs) purchases with broadly the same amount as before.

So... GBP/JPY 193-195 will be a good Short it seems.
CHF/JPY 170 as well.

Sell Stop orders removed.

BoJ Policy Rate has been removed from FF, because BoJ hiked... new charts and all of that.

All in all... happy to see JPY dropped, because we'll get the highs again.

im not trying to influence you and dont listen to me if your confident of your own analysis but BOJ didnt "hike" anything LOL

they went from a negative to zero....but its still zero ..

this is diddly squat and yen will continue falling but maybe at a slower drop

I think we tend to agree that's why I said GBP/JPY is heading to new highs at 193-195 haha.

In Great Financial Crisis it actually mattered not that BoJ hiked to measly 0.50% while other CB has interest rates above 5%, some even at 7%. What made JPY annihilate other currencies was the beginning of crisis in mid 2007 (when big short began on JPY pairs) and other CB cutting rates. CB started cutting rates by 0.25% like they will this time as well, but when crisis starts they'll start cutting by 1% or 1.5% and this is when JPY will destroy other currencies.

In 2008. GBP/JPY fell 4000 pips in one week when BoE lowered interest rates by 1.5%.

Finally, the BoJ makes its move. I got flat several hours ago, but I'm still a seller of $Y., now waiting for the dust to settle. I hope you were on the right side of this move, and ride it for every pip you can. Good trading everyone.

Okay... well, USD/JPY is near the infamous 150 haha, so anything is possible, also the Fed is tomorrow which makes things complicated.
I had Sell Stops that weren't triggered and have removed them all...

I have to review all the announcements before I do anything going forward. I got a little queasy today when I started reading articles questioning what the BoJ was really trying to accomplish as they move out of negative rates. I think you are right about 150, maybe a bit higher than that but the BoJ will flush the yen if it doesn't do as expected. BTW, the Fed meeting starts tomorrow, but announcements are Wednesday.
