Our biggest trading partner is China and when things not going so well there it has an impact on our economy.....

Anyone realised how the thread became so peaceful and so full of trading again after Ferna got suspended? I wish he got the suspension earlier, before Headland left

AUD and NZD both have close inter-relationships with the EUR/AUD and EUR/NZD crosses (but also GBP crosses too). Should never trade AUD or NZD long if the crosses are bullish. This is the monitor set up I have for both. I'm looking for a long entry on AUD around 0.6450 but that will depend on the cross, the candles and support holding on the higher time frame 61.8 fib (38.2 in reverse).

There are our own fundamentals that'll drive price as well as US data drops, so if Cable and Euro pumping of of data there is a good chance the Aussie will do the same

That was eye opening, may i ask why shouldn't i trade them long if GBP-EUR crosses are bullish though Is there a specific reason why they are reversely correlated Thank you so much

Went back to H1 drawing board instead of M5.
Checking on bigger picture that downside is likely limited while upside is high probable. However news may do LQ sweep before strong push.

Can refer to Coreg's chart for GU posted yesterday for detailed view.

Also, no point staying here anymore if Headland isn't here.

Good question. Understanding the inter-relationships between the currencies and also the currency inter-relationship with the equities indices MATTERS A LOT.

If market thinks the indices are going to run short, they will dump AUD and NZD in favour of holding higher value currencies, like EUR and GBP.

One caveat, sometimes, market will load up AUD and NZD ahead of a short binge on the indices, in order to have them in their arsenal in the event they need to be dumped later. That's why I'm looking to see if support holds on AUD at 0.6450 or not.

Another thing to keep in mind, AUD does not have the debt load that the US has. We are a little in the black in fact. So that does count in our favour, but as other Aussie traders have said here, AUD does have some headwinds with the price of iron ore dropping (and nickel) and strained trading relationship with China. But we do have good relations with India which is rapidly becoming a more important trading partner than China.
