Good Bought some dow today as well. yesterday longs closed with loss... Today gave it back.. I'll also keep buying the lows.. Now two daily red candle my gut feeling with experience dow going for a quick slide down to capture liquidity before marching up.....

Yes dow looks like it's going down.

I floated them because I thought prices was going to be running sideways
and sizes are not too big.

No no... both should fall on the news and continue falling throughout the day. Talking mainly about AUD/JPY and NZD/JPY, but of course news will affect every pair containing AUD and NZD. The amount of pips on AUD/JPY on CPI news was pretty miserable however... no volatility whatsoever. We'll see about NZD. There were talks by media that RBNZ could hike rates today, but that would be a surprise in my opinion, we'll see... Ah, I see, thanks for the explanation. I'm still getting around the fundamentals aspect of trading. I was referring to GBPAUD, & GBPNZD pairs.

GBP/AUD and GBP/NZD look bullish on higher TF's (H4,D1,W1 and MN). GBP/AUD more so, however.

I decided to risk $5 on this. I think I would have been gutted if I didn't take the trade and saw this move, but then again, trading cpi isn't advisable. So I'll call this luck and hopefully not try it again.

Happy to hear that you won something and even happier to hear that you will never try this again. GBP/NZD produced almost 200 pips on interest rate decision... that's a shit ton of pips and you don't want to be on the wrong side of that crap. Also, impacts like this will sometimes go "through" your SL and you'll lose more than you thought you would. However, getting into that isn't necessary for you as you have stated you're done with this haha. Good job and now forget about it! Now, you can trade with the house money haha.
