If you watch the buying and selling on the tick chart you can understand it's an auction, 1.2700 is only so strong because no one is willing to stump up the cash to go higher right now.
It could happen before news or big buy orders are in the pipeline waiting for US data coming up in just over an hour.
I'm always amazed that sometimes for what seems no reason price suddenly takes of...
