a word of advice for when you inevitably fabricate a profit screenshot this friday; don't go for high win rate AND high RR - lets be real for a second, a 99% win rate with an average RR of 1:30 over 1471 trades simply isn't believable to anyone with half a brain (i suppose that's why the post did so well in this thread?) maybe you and navk could do some R&D, using zebi as your guinea pig, to figure out where the fake profits start to look somewhat believable.

Good question, but the motive behind a fraud can be for personal gain, not just financial. His MO at FF is to gain personal reputation as someone who knows more than the rest, has deep experience in life (whatever that means), and is a very experienced trader. He is none of those things, and all you have to do is scratch his background to find out how shallow his education, experiences, and his background really are. For example, his trading prowess is based on a less than $200 trading account, where he claims to make 5% every day. His proof of the 5%? A fake trade record. He could not explain why his $200 trading account has never grown above $200. In my book, that makes his "online persona" a fraud. You are right, though, that some people are fooled by his long and pointless posts. Some people who come here are confused and are in search of answers to forex trading. Peter never gives them answers, but his mix of contempt and rambling nothingness is appealing to people who have become cynical and desperate. But we're all big boys and girls here, so readers beware.

The British pound (GBP) isn't moving much today because investors are waiting to hear what the Bank of England (BoE) will do with interest rates.
They're not sure when the BoE or the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will lower rates, and that's making it hard for the pound to go up or down against the US dollar (USD).

Both the BoE and the Fed want to see inflation (rising prices) go down to 2% before they lower rates.
However, wages in the UK are rising faster than expected, and the cost of services is still going up too quickly.
This makes it harder for the BoE to lower rates.

The US dollar is also holding steady this week, even though there's a lot of important economic data coming out.
Investors are especially interested in a report on inflation in the US, which will come out on Thursday.
This report will help them guess when the Fed might lower rates.

This week is a big week for the US economy, with lots of important data being released.

Here are some of the key data releases to watch for this week:
Monday: US New Home Sales data
Tuesday: US Durable Goods Orders and Consumer Confidence data
Wednesday: US GDP data, Personal Spending data, and Personal Income data
Thursday: US Jobless Claims data and Core PCE Price Index data
Friday: US ISM Manufacturing PMI data

The Core PCE Price Index is especially important, as it is the Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation.
Investors will be watching this data closely to see if inflation is rising or falling.
Overall, this is a busy week for economic data, and the outcome of these events could have a big impact on the GBP/USD currency pair.
