Its hard not to conclude that what often passes for trading information / education / exploration amounts to playing a game of chart glamorisation, mesmerizations and hypnotization with questionable application. [ see post #35 this thread - the link does not work correctly - https://www.trade2win.com/threads/te.../#post-3184254

In the hope of effecting redress - within limited scope - on Sun 1 Jan 2023 I posted a number of charts (free TradingView) which can be found at post #13,358 https://www.trade2win.com/threads/ch...8#post-3242264

Charts: included in the full post.
As the charts were accesses on Sunday 1 Jan 2023 all referenced close prices are for last market close 2022.
As update, the close price for Friday 9 February 2024 is selected.
Historical close prices can be check at Yahoo Finance under the Historical Data Tab.

Note: Re above warning - Be warned: Due diligence with respect to technical and fundamental research is assumed.
With respect to above AMZN referenced 1 Jan 2023 charts

  1. technical indication of considerable sell off, price decline on 5 year charts prior 2023.
  2. fundamentals suggested buying opportunities
  3. analysis consensus Strong Buy

AMZN - current 5 year chart: Note the 5 year sell off, price decline during 2022 and rally during 2023.

The thread is barely 4 months old, I'm not sure what the reference to making money with this system last year meant.

you took reference from previous day.
1. touch and drop. no confirmation.
2. focus on current market price as confirmation making the same pattern as previous day around the same level.
my preference is no. 2.

As more questions came in recently regarding the system shared in this thread by Rob, I have a few things to say.

Trade-related questions of similar nature like this in future will not be answered:
Throwing un-organized/random charts as a post and asking "Is this correct", "Should I take this trade".

Ladies/ gents, your learning is ultimately in your own hands (Most relevant information are already posted earlier or by Rob)
Yes, it is tedious to go through 1000+ posts and read every single one, or filtering through to look for the answer to your question. But inflating the post count in this thread with badly constructed questions will only serve to make the problem worse because there are now more posts to scroll / filter through, for you and other readers in future.

Before you ask any questions, take the appropriate screenshots.
At least your line chart + your candlestick chart if regarding a trade. Try to follow the format which was taught to you, it will be easier for the seniors to understand your questions and for fellow learners of the system.

Can I give you the answer directly? Yes, but what is the point of spoon feeding you?
You will either take or not take that trade and come back with the same question again next day/week/month.
Providing signals is not the point of this thread.

"Why can't you just tell me the answer?" By doing so, here is what will happen:
1) You will never gain the self-confidence of being able to spot and enter trades by yourself.
2) You will not own your mistakes, since the final decision to trade or not is made by someone else.
3) What will happen to you when person X is no longer here/ not available to respond/answer you with a yes or no?

Trading is a very personal journey, everyone are at different stages along the journey.
Everyone is trying to reach similar destinations but our paths will almost always be different.
We are trying to give you a compass/map to navigate yourself, not a taxi ride.

In addition to posting your charts with your questions, please spend some time to ponder over these few pointers and include them together with your question:

What are your reasons for entering this trade?
Specifically, what are your analyses (in terms of timeframes/ zones/ candles) that led you to believe/ told you that this is a trade to take?

This will help those replying to your question(s) be able more easily identify these:
1) What did you do correctly
2) What did you not do correctly
3) Point you to relevant information to other posts to help you clarify (2).

Do remember to take your own notes of the system rules/examples/ the like. Even something as simple as noting which post # relates to what will save you time from having to scroll/filter/search through the entire thread to find what you need, you will re-visit some of the information definitely in future. Think of it as placing bookmarks for important chapters in a book that is ever growing.

If you are sharing trades your took based on Rob's system or any other systems allowed, feel free to post away.
If you are a new trader trying to practice / learn the system, do ensure you have understood the information shared. Ask away if you have any questions relating to the system, no charts are needed.

Day 3 Update:
Still plugging with EURUSD however I think I might need to expand to GBPUSD or gold next week to get more hours under the belt.

Finished the day on +1.5R which leaves me 0..5R up on the week. Not massive but not negative and I'm more concerned about learning principles right now.

Focused on the 15-minute charts today (no reason other than to see if other TFs gave clues)
Asian Session - didn't see any clear rejection candles around 4HR or 30min zones so no trades
London Session - No Bullish rejection at Key zone Asain high hit. Was tempted by the 2nd candle which engulfed the opening candle but there was strong support shown on the 4HR SR so it didn't seem like there was much opportunity
US Session - Took trade on 2nd candle. It looked like a bullish rejection candle and trade opening was close to the zone. Marked a TP and lower 4HR SR as the London session had broken first easily. Closed trade when there was a big reaction of the lower SR (long wick). Probably should have waited for the obvious 3 before trading and might have got a higher sell price but the bullish rejection at a zone drove the decision.


bit of homework this weekend to replay the charts and look for 123s.

trading without indicators aka naked trading is beyond most traders. 95% of traders will lose money.

it takes years of practice in real-time live market for a handful of traders to achieve trading mastery ... then become consistent profitable traders.

the method shared here by the OP @Islandfx911 is just one of many different methods trading without technical indicators. it is no holy grail. it requires a consistent approach with technical analysis of the market.

trading requires a certain discipline to trade only certain technical setup conditions over a long time to see real end-results.

thanks for those links and with an open mind we definitely can learn more and expand on what we already know.

so long you have your own reasons why you sell at that level then you are correct.

to me it look like the Daily shows an impulse move and hitting the BRN12700 which was also the Day high of the previous day Feb22 (PMI data).

after the impulse move, in the LTF do you see 123 corrective 'waves' @12700 ?

Continue working on spotting trades and if you have the bandwidth, try to increase the pairs you are scanning.

I suggest starting with 3, pick them based on the predominant session you tend to trade. If you are only looking at one, there is a higher likelihood to force trades (taking trades where there are none) during times where there are nothing much going on in terms of trade entries, because you are focused only looking at one pair.

As Rob mentioned earlier, if it helps you, you can pepper your charts with notes the gist of what the chart is telling you. It could be something like:
"1-2 formed, look for 3 at next session", etc.

As always, if in doubt zoom out, if still in doubt sit out
